The Boom Bap Show, presented by DJ Ronsha and G-Zon, is one of the flagship programmes on Scientific Sound Asia. Each week, the broadcast remains firmly committed to preserving the authentic spirit of Hip-Hop, delivering a finely selected blend of Boom Bap, Underground Hip-Hop, and Rap.

Over the years, it has grown into a vital platform for established legends and new voices alike, strengthening Scientific Sound Asia’s standing as a respected international radio station, DJ agency, and event promoter with a dedicated audience across Asia and beyond.

G-Zon has been a defining figure in the Paris rap scene since the 1980s, credited with advancing the French Boom Bap movement. His long-standing partnership with DJ Ronsha gave rise to La Meute, a collective known for its uncompromising lyricism and raw, unfiltered beats.

Their dedication to Hip-Hop’s roots has never faltered, even as they continue to innovate and inspire. A highlight of their work was the album Danse Avec Les Loups, featuring French heavyweights such as 20SYL (Hocus Pocus, C2C) and Black M (Sexion d’Assaut). The release expanded La Meute’s influence internationally while staying true to underground traditions.

Based in Paris, DJ Ronsha is recognised for his sharp production style and encyclopaedic understanding of music, curating sets that connect Hip-Hop’s golden era to its evolving present. Together, DJ Ronsha and G-Zon have built more than a radio show; they have established a movement that unites Hip-Hop fans across cultures and generations, ensuring the genre’s history and future remain closely intertwined.

The 59th edition of Boom Bap Show launches with Ronsha’s signature intro and a tight sequence of new-school lyricists keeping the classic format alive. Why-D dominates early with a trilogy of cuts laced by DJ Devastate, setting a tone rooted in precision scratching and dense lyricism. Sailing C’s by eB83 and mrlone balances soul-sampled optimism against maritime metaphor, while O.G. Spice evokes 90s nostalgia on Coney Island Vibes. Anger Management from K.A.A.N. & DJ Hoppa injects modern fury before Something To Look Forward To by St. Ivan The Terrible and What You Gonna Do by Infinite7Mind & Famine underline conscious themes and East Coast discipline.

Momentum builds as Hyskills & King Jude join DJ Grazzhoppa for First Blood, merging heavy drum programming with intricate cuts. A-Game by Pyraminds Crew keeps the cypher spirit alive with features from K-Prez & MysDiggi, and Dios Negasi’s collaboration with Ghostface Killah reminds listeners of hip hop’s eternal link to storytelling flair. The mid-section deepens into an education in craftsmanship: Saigon & Buckwild’s No Witness featuring Benny The Butcher blends grime-laden realism with elevated bars, while Salute Da Kidd & Bronze Nazareth extend Wu-Tang’s spiritual grit across Black Roses, Seldomville and Storm Survivor.

Jamil Honesty & JR Swiftz step in with Real Rap and Chakras, balanced by turntable mastery from DJ Grazzhoppa. DJ Mirage’s 5 Majeurs bridges eras with B-Real, Capone, Action Bronson and KRS-One—an intergenerational cipher uniting boom bap’s lineage. Underground standouts Illpo, Enrichment, and Christcentric & The Apologist infuse social consciousness into the mix, carrying the episode through reflection and resistance in equal measure.

The third hour amplifies intensity. Pressure Makes Diamonds by Kingdom Kome, G Fam Black & Ruen brings raw East Coast muscle, while Danger At The Docks by Death At The Derby redefines narrative rap through cinematic storytelling. Dreams To Make Cream by DJ Flipcyide & Temper featuring Raekwon resurrects golden-era bravado, followed by Cold Truth from Shabaam Sahdeeq & ES-K, an exercise in precision over crackling vinyl grit. John Jigg$ & Kyo Itachi’s The Memo and Barfax sustain lyrical excellence before Edo. G & Lex (de Kalhex) close the segment with the reflective Make A Living.

In its final stretch, the set balances old and new. Which Way To Go by Reef Hustle & Aganee, Sizzle by TNF Inc, and Top Dogs by Sevin Soprano & Lord Willin bring hunger and maturity, while The Show Continues … by Marsten House & Skinny Bonez Tha Godfatha symbolises the episode’s theme: evolution through authenticity. The closing trio—DJ Mirage’s Violenconometry, Hanzo Bladez’s Man In The Mirror, and Semi Six & Stretch Money’s Back To School—wrap up a three-hour journey through craftsmanship, message, and timeless rhythm.

Boom Bap Show 59 exemplifies why DJ Ronsha & G-Zon remain cornerstones of global underground hip hop. Across three hours, they weave technical scratching, lyrical tradition, and new-generation energy into a seamless marathon—an unbroken thread of hip hop integrity on Scientific Sound Asia.
