8U8A has recently unveiled an exciting track list for his highly anticipated performance on Scientific Sound Asia radio, scheduled for this coming Friday. This event marks a significant moment for both the artist and the station, as Scientific Sound Asia Radio has established itself as the premier underground radio station, DJ agency, and promoter for the vibrant music scene in South East Asia.

8U8A, hailing from Russia, embarked on his musical journey in 2004, initially making a name for himself as a DnB and Jungle MC. His early experiences in the music industry were marked by his role as a vocalist in three different bands, where he honed his skills and developed a unique sound. By 2007, he had a transformative realization: he wanted to combine his passions for DJing and MCing.

This pivotal moment led him to embark on a quest to curate an extensive collection of bass music from around the globe. His exploration was particularly focused on genres such as dubstep, grime, and garage, which resonated deeply with his artistic vision and performance style.

As 2011 rolled around, 8U8A's musical palette expanded significantly when he discovered tropical global bass. This genre captivated him, prompting him to delve deeper into an eclectic array of sounds. His collection grew to encompass a wide variety of styles, including Baile Funk, Moombahton, Kuduro, Dancehall, Dembow, Cumbia, Trap, Jersey Club, Footwork, Jungle, and many other sub-genres.

Each of these influences contributed to his distinctive approach to music, allowing him to create sets that are both energising and innovative. In 2014, fueled by a desire for adventure and the ambition to share his impressive music collection, 8U8A set off on a journey to travel across Southeast Asia.

His travels were not just about exploration; they were also an opportunity to showcase his talents. He performed in various countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia, where he collaborated with local artists and fellow DJs. These performances were met with enthusiastic responses, as his dynamic stage presence and ability to engage with the crowd left a lasting impression on audiences everywhere he went.

8U8A's remarkable skills, both as a vocalist on the microphone and as a DJ behind the decks, have captivated crowds throughout Asia. His mission to spread good vibes and connect with fans through music continues to thrive, as he remains an influential figure in the underground scene. With each performance, he not only entertains but also fosters a sense of community among music lovers, proving that his dedication to the craft transcends borders and unites people through the universal language of music.

8U8A’s Global Bass 11 begins with brooding low-end pressure from DubApe and Quasar, setting the pace with immersive Deep Dubstep textures and eerie vocal samples. J Sparrow takes over with a driving selection of classics, including Unity Rock featuring Silkie and the aggressive Kaleidadope.

The mood thickens with gritty, sub-heavy cuts by Jakes, Caspa, and Kryo, followed by LIL FISH’s cinematic soundscapes like Origines and Burning Forest. Bass experimentalists such as XotiX, Zipse, and kLL sMTH throw in glitchy, syncopated rhythms to shake things up mid-set.

Things escalate into Drum and Bass and Jungle territory with tracks by DJ Hybrid, SASASAS, and Current Value, ranging from dark neuro energy to anthemic Jump Up. The remix of Rampage Anthem VIP and Impact (VIP) by Current Value pushes the intensity higher still.

Closing the show, Global Bass 11 swerves into grimey UK Bass and Breakstep with tracks by Yatuza, Chase & Status, and a surprise drop from DJ EXPIRED YOGURT. The genre fluidity in this mix blends deep groove, sound system heat, and high-speed rave energy effortlessly.
