Episode 709 of After Hours delivers a deep and emotive Progressive House journey, curated and hosted by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based radio station, promoter and DJ agency, the series continues to connect underground electronic music communities across Asia and the wider global scene.
Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has established himself as a respected figure within the international Progressive House movement. His sound, shaped by early Trance and Techno influences, is recognised for its smooth melodic flow, restrained tension and strong sense of narrative, allowing tracks to evolve naturally over extended journeys.
Sharing stages with artists such as Guy J and Pole Folder helped sharpen his reputation as a technically refined and emotionally expressive DJ. A key turning point came in 2010 when he won the Night Museum DJ Competition, opening the door to international opportunities and, in 2015, the launch of AH Digital alongside Hypnotised.
The label’s debut release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, reached the Beatport Top 20 and quickly positioned AH Digital as a trusted outlet for quality underground Progressive House. More recently, PatriZe’s 2025 remix of The Loon on the label highlighted the continued evolution of his sound, blending atmosphere, precision and melodic depth.
As the driving force behind After Hours, PatriZe remains committed to both musical integrity and platform-building. With residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge and Terrace in Pattaya, alongside regular appearances on Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun and Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials, he continues to shape the series as a space for thoughtful, emotionally resonant Progressive House.

Guest DJ Lastveek.
After Hours welcomes Lastveek, a DJ whose connection to electronic music dates back to the early 1990s, when first encounters with artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre sparked a lasting fascination with electronic sound. Over time, this early curiosity developed into a deeper exploration of progressive and melodic electronic music, shaping a style focused on atmosphere, structure and emotional flow.
With a strong emphasis on harmonic mixing and narrative progression, Lastveek approaches each set as a story rather than a collection of tracks. His selections are carefully layered, allowing tension and release to unfold naturally while maintaining a steady connection to the dancefloor and the listener’s emotional space.
Lastveek has established himself within the international radio landscape through regular appearances and guest mixes. He has featured on Loops Radio, including guest spots on the Progressive Night series, and has delivered guest mixes on Proton Radio, where his sound aligns with the deeper, progressive end of underground electronic music.
As a radio host, resident and guest DJ, Lastveek continues to refine his craft through consistent broadcast activity, focusing on quality, cohesion and musical depth. His work reflects a long-term dedication to electronic music culture, grounded in passion, patience and a clear artistic vision rather than trends or shortcuts.
After Hours episode 709 opens with PatriZe guiding the first hour into deep Progressive House territory, where atmospheric tension and steady groove take centre stage. Tracks like Polumya and Equinox establish a reflective mood, built on rolling basslines and evolving melodic layers that slowly draw the listener inward.
As the set progresses, selections such as Empyreal, Ranhura and Water World deepen the emotional pull, balancing subtle rhythmic drive with expansive sound design. These moments highlight the genre’s strength in storytelling, allowing each track to breathe while maintaining a continuous sense of motion and anticipation.
The transition into Lastveek’s second hour maintains that hypnotic focus while pushing into more expansive Progressive House expressions. Pieces like Tales of the Wind and Million Years from Now introduce warmer harmonies and long-form progression, creating a sense of uplift without sacrificing depth or restraint.
Closing selections, including Eyes and Resurrection, bring the episode to a powerful yet introspective finish, reinforcing the After Hours ethos of late-night immersion and emotional flow. Episode 709 stands as a cohesive Progressive House journey, designed for deep listening as much as for the dancefloor.
