DJ Joshua has published the track lists for his new Floating Beats and Velvety Elements show this Monday 17th of August 2020 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and repeating on Friday from 6 to 8 AM (ICT). Scientific Sound Asia is an online electronic music station and DJ Agency for the Asian region and internationally.
DJ Joshua whose real name is Joshua Mar is a Portuguese music lover and hoarder and this epitomises his character. Hailing from Evora in Portugal his most captivating genre in his collection is electronic music, thus multiplying his interest in a plethora of electronic music styles from House to Drum and Bass to Chill-out and Techno being at the forefront.
His weekly show Floating Beats which allowed him to experiment with progressive and calmer sounds along with melodic and Techno will now be joined with another radio show. In the second hour, Velvety Elements will be more dedicated only to the softest house, with the most elements.
He started as a disc jockey doing his first mixes in the early nineties and became an avid vinyl collector. He started on local radio shows with almost every genre of electronic music and performed at House Music events and Techno events he had planned with buddies. Whilst his interest grew the rave scene in Portugal was on the rise and he recognised the necessity of using the radio to entice the audience.
The intensity and his taste for the music that engulfed him were immense, and after the birth of his daughter he took a break from the music scene, after a few years of fatherhood he decided that to satisfy his intense love of the music he would start a new radio show and Floating Beats Sessions was born.
After a while, he created another episode to display the deep and soulful expression of House Music and his other show Velvety Elements was born. In closing, Joshua has this to say 'Music is an art form. It is the fusion of elements that can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body, enjoy it.'
In his weekly shows, Joshua explores a mixture of House Music and Techno sub-genres frequently featuring Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit House, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno. His podcasts have been broadcast on House Music radio and Techno radio stations internationally.
