The Boom Bap Show, hosted by DJ Ronsha and G-Zon, is a cornerstone of Scientific Sound Asia’s commitment to authentic Hip-Hop. Broadcasting weekly, the show brings listeners a powerful selection of Boom Bap, Underground Hip-Hop, and Rap, and serves as an essential outlet for purists and emerging artists alike. Scientific Sound Asia operates as a leading radio station, event promoter, and DJ agency with a growing reach across Asia and the world.

G-Zon, a veteran of the Parisian rap scene, began making his mark in the 1980s and has remained a key figure in shaping the French Boom Bap sound. His long-standing partnership with DJ Ronsha led to the creation of La Meute, a collective known for its gritty lyricism and hard-hitting beats. Their work reflects decades of dedication to the craft, resonating with fans of real Hip-Hop who value substance and raw expression.

A defining chapter in their journey came with the release of Danse Avec Les Loups, a project that featured standout collaborations with some of France’s most acclaimed artists, including 20SYL from Hocus Pocus and C2C, and Black M of Sexion d’Assaut. The album pushed La Meute into the international spotlight without compromising its underground identity, a balance that continues to define their sound.

DJ Ronsha, based in Paris, has built a reputation for his intricate production and precise mixing. As the Boom Bap Show’s official DJ, his beats provide the backbone for both the broadcast and La Meute’s broader catalogue. Known for his deep crates and sharp ear, Ronsha has consistently used his platform to support emerging talent and preserve the essence of Boom Bap culture.

Together, DJ Ronsha and G-Zon offer more than just a radio show; they represent a movement that bridges eras and borders. Their continued output through La Meute, live events, and international collaborations has solidified their influence, keeping the spirit of underground Hip-Hop alive and resonant with new generations.

DJ Ronsha opens with scratch-driven intensity, introducing bar-heavy spiritual reflections from Hastyle Rhymes & Luck and soulful motivation by Sixman. M-Dot and Confidence deliver East Coast grit, followed by Redemption themes in Lord Save Me. Martial arts metaphors, comeback anthems, and DJ tributes round out a tight, layered opening with tracks like Lethal Techniques and Hands In The Loops adding variety.

Mid-set brings emotional, philosophical, and poetic dimensions. Tracks like Prophecy and Dreamz On Reset offer introspective calm, while gritty reflections in Noir Rap and Redemption themes are carried by artists like Kidd Called Quest and Tha Soloist. Braggadocio cyphers balance the tone, while Gospel-themed and mentorship-focused pieces like Church Ain’t Out Til They Singin and Teach You honour tradition and street wisdom.

The mix dives into battle-heavy cyphers and conceptual showcases. Hardcore edge dominates with tracks like Fake It and Mass Murder, and vivid storytelling appears in The Wire and Detroit Dangerous. Latin influence rises with World Famous and Para Vivir, offering bilingual narratives and street-rooted reflection. Ralphiie Reese and G Fam Black keep the lyrical intensity high with complex metaphors and cadence.

Closing the show, we hear a blend of vulnerability, hustle, and narrative richness. Boom Bap traditions are reaffirmed through soulful tracks like Tell Mama and motivational anthems like Sow Your Seeds. The session ends with a balance of philosophical complexity, lyrical sharpness, and classic boom bap attitude, curated to perfection by DJ Ronsha & G-Zon.
