Hosted by DJ Ronsha and G-Zon, the esteemed Boom Bap Show presents an outstanding selection of Boom Bap, Hip-Hop, and Rap music. The programme is a cornerstone of Scientific Sound Asia, a respected DJ agency, radio station, and event organiser with a substantial international audience, particularly across Asia.

G-Zon, a longstanding figure in the Parisian hip-hop scene, has been instrumental in shaping the French rap scene since the 1980s. Together with DJ Ronsha, he co-founded La Meute, a collective that has played a central role in the evolution of French Boom Bap and underground rap. Their influence extends well beyond music production, leaving a lasting impact on French hip-hop culture.

Celebrated for their blend of raw, impactful lyricism and soulful, rhythm-rich beats, G-Zon and DJ Ronsha’s work continues to resonate with both purists and contemporary hip-hop fans. Their music is marked by authenticity, creativity, and a deep-rooted respect for the genre’s foundations.

A key milestone in their artistic journey came with La Meute’s acclaimed album Danse Avec Les Loups, which featured collaborations with renowned French artists such as 20SYL (of Hocus Pocus and C2C) and Black M (of Sexion d’Assaut). The album not only elevated their standing internationally but also showcased their ability to innovate while maintaining a firmly underground sound. Their ability to adapt without compromising their identity has earned them admiration within global hip-hop circles.

DJ Ronsha, also based in Paris, is highly regarded for his production expertise and serves as the official DJ of the Boom Bap Show. His intricate, textured beats have supported many underground talents and feature prominently in La Meute’s discography. Ronsha is known for crafting sounds that complement incisive and direct lyricism, helping to push the boundaries of Boom Bap while remaining loyal to its essence.

Together, DJ Ronsha and G-Zon have cultivated a unique take on classic Boom Bap that resonates on a global scale. Their influence goes beyond the studio, with both artists actively engaging with audiences through electrifying live performances, radio broadcasts, and curated events.

As founding members of La Meute, they have played a defining role in shaping the French underground scene and extending its reach internationally. Their continued collaboration ensures that Boom Bap remains dynamic, relevant, and culturally significant, with a legacy that is firmly woven into the fabric of global hip-hop.

DJ Teo opens with layered scratch routines that immediately establish a classic mixtape tone. Substantial sets a high bar with a comic-themed remix, followed by jazz-laced introspection from Awon and Fresh Daily. UK pride emerges on How To Spell Nottingham 0115, while sharp scratching and street aggression rise in Sig Sour and Rhyme Paragraph. Battle energy and abstract flows mark the early phase with Adult Swimmers and Hungry anchoring a gritty, lyrical zone.

Mid-show, the energy deepens through personal and spiritual reflections. Let The God Marinate blends abstract delivery with poetic power, while Feminist and Sci-Fi themes converge on Star Warz. Soulful loops from 9th Wonder support escapist lyricism, and experimental layers surface in tracks like Sophia and The Day Hell Froze. Political critiques and regional storytelling continue with Death & Taxes and Summer Of Violence, adding texture and urgency.

In the final third, punchline-heavy cuts and battle rhymes drive momentum. Toolshed Of A Craftsman and You Can’t Relate highlight craftsmanship and lyrical sharpness, while Boom Bap’s diversity is showcased through Latin bars, Horrorcore tales, and motivational messages. Tracks like My Block and Nobody’s Safe reflect both identity and danger, with global influences adding further richness.

Closing out, we hear philosophical introspection and spiritual density. Tracks like Grunerwolk and Power Within focus on growth and reflection, while Ride Wit A P and Tabernacle 321 fuse cold luxury and mysticism. The final pieces explore legacy, metaphors, and lyrical ritual, making Boom Bap Show 47 a sprawling showcase of underground power curated by DJ Ronsha & G-Zon.
