The Boom Bap Show, hosted by DJ Ronsha and G-Zon, is one of the cornerstone programmes on Scientific Sound Asia, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the true essence of Hip-Hop. Its growing audience across Asia and beyond has cemented Scientific Sound Asia as not just a respected radio station but also an international DJ agency and event promoter with a strong reputation for authenticity.
Each week, the show delivers a carefully curated blend of Boom Bap, Underground Hip-Hop, and Rap, staying true to the foundations of the culture while providing a platform for new artists and established legends. G-Zon has been a central figure in the Paris Hip-Hop scene since the 1980s, recognised for his pioneering role in advancing the French Boom Bap sound.
His work alongside DJ Ronsha led to the creation of La Meute, a collective renowned for raw beats, uncompromising lyrics, and a commitment to underground principles. Their music carried the energy of Parisian streets while resonating with global audiences hungry for real hip hop.
A milestone moment for La Meute was the release of Danse Avec Les Loups, an album that featured heavyweight collaborations with 20SYL from Hocus Pocus and C2C, and Black M from Sexion d’Assaut. This project brought the collective international recognition, proving that French Boom Bap could not only hold its own but also thrive in dialogue with global hip hop movements. The album remains a key reference point for fans of the genre.
DJ Ronsha, also based in Paris, is celebrated for his sharp production style, deep knowledge of Hip-Hop history, and ability to connect the golden era with today’s evolving underground. In addition to his role on the show, Ronsha continues to collaborate with international MCs and producers.
His work includes tracks such as Underground Things featuring Napoleon Da Legend and Tone Spliff, and For Paris With Love with Mike Titan and A7CM. These releases show his commitment to building bridges between the French and international underground scenes.
Together, DJ Ronsha and G-Zon have built more than a weekly broadcast. The Boom Bap Show is a movement, one that unites listeners worldwide, keeps the legacy of Boom Bap alive, and ensures Hip-Hop’s message of authenticity, creativity, and resistance continues to inspire across cultures and generations.
The 62nd instalment of Boom Bap Show opens powerfully with DJ Ronsha’s signature intro and If Ya Let Em by Analog Mutants, where DJ Grazzhoppa’s cuts add sharpness to its dense groove. Cupula follows with cinematic grit through Borrowed Time and Backroom Verdict, while Da Buze Bruvaz link with Giallo Point for grimy East Coast realism. Early highlights include Salvation by Elcamino, Cory Gunz, and Inspectah Deck, combining Buffalo’s rawness with Wu-Tang’s precision. Slik Jack, Vincent Pryce, and Daniel Son carry the underground torch forward with confident energy, and Cutthroat Business by Spoda and crew captures the show’s aggressive essence.
Midway through, the tone deepens with lyric-heavy Boom Bap anthems from Recognize Ali & Anu EL, supported by cuts from Tone Spliff and DJ Grazzhoppa. Freddie Black’s Purgatory blends soulful tension with technical bars, while Cas Metah and Ras Kass bring introspective consciousness on Dealing With Demons. Killah Priest delivers two masterful features, grounding the set’s spiritual core with Buried Scriptures and Flow As Well. *Serge Severe’s One Of One remix, featuring Ras Kass, maintains the lyrical momentum before Plasma XL’s Talk To God drifts into reflective territory.
As the show progresses, Maddog McGraw’s Holy Ghost and *Blak-Ram’s Heartbreak featuring Rakim anchor the raw, street-driven mid-section. Ayoo Bigz & Itrak and Action Figure 973 & Machacha introduce modern aggression, while Pab Montega and Bigg Classic Beats bring soulful boom bap swing on Balcony Vision. Underground craftsmanship remains strong across Madden 96 and 6000 Roundz by Erg One & BoneWeso, and DTaylz The Profit & Hi-Q add late-show firepower on Kneel Before The Godz.
In the final stretch, the show shifts toward deep consciousness and melodic grit. Tha God Fahim and Nicholas Craven deliver refinement on Safe And Dangerous, while *Atmosphere’s Heavy Lifting and *El Gant’s Wake It Up close with reflective tones. Blaq Medici’s Trane Rain, featuring Planet Asia, ties the episode’s lineage together—bridging old-school values with modern lyrical precision. The mix finishes with *Jamal Gasol & Vanderslice’s Respectfully, sealing the session in classic East Coast fashion.
Boom Bap Show 62 captures 160 minutes of refined underground energy—gritty, soulful, and deeply authentic. DJ Ronsha & G-Zon once again demonstrate why their platform remains a pillar for real lyricism and timeless Boom Bap culture on Scientific Sound Asia.
