Flamin’ Hip Hop Episode 18 opens with DJ Phoenixx’s jingle before dropping straight into Mad Mann’s tribute “Sean Price”, a rugged Boom Bap cut rooted in the underground. Swift Guad, Ol Zico & Mani Deiz follow with “La Flamme”, igniting the French Rap presence with classic Boom Bap production. DJ King Flow and YT On Tha Traxk bring raw chemistry on “Roll Out”, while Kris Payne’s “Virgin” and Souffrance’s “Sous Les Pavés” continue the theme of stripped-down drums and dense lyricism.

Blahzay Blahzay’s iconic “Danger” marks a shift to East Coast energy, nodding to the Golden Era alongside Furax Barbarossa’s “Toulouse Eldorado”, which brings the focus back to French Boom Bap. Rapp’Dezé and DJ Tren keep the underground vibes alive with “Dis Le Aux Autres”, while Scred Connexion & Mokless offer social commentary on “Les Diables Et Les Anges”. Booba’s “Temps Mort” punches through with Hardcore Hip Hop authority, and Ol’Kainry’s “Les Chemins De La Dignité” reflects on struggle through classic Boom Bap.

As the set progresses, Flynt’s “Comme Sur Un Playground” and Davodka’s “La Mise Au Poing” balance street realism with lyrical introspection. Fayçal, Keurspi, and Slam Mc offer a cinematic touch with “Fragments De Vies”, setting the stage for Your Old Droog’s “Head Over Wheels II”, a vivid homage to G Dep rooted in Storytelling Rap. Shurik’n & MC Janik infuse Ragga and Hip Hop fusion on “Tant De Raisons Où Je Vis”, before Gang Starr’s “Mass Appeal” reintroduces East Coast grit with timeless flow.

The show closes strong with Golden Era staples like Jurassic 5’s “Long Road To Glory” and Wu-Tang Clan’s anthemic “Clan In Da Front”. Erick Sermon & Def Squad funk it up with “Can’t Stop”, and El Da Sensei, Prince Po & Pharaohe Monch unleash elite bars on “Frontline”. Big Daddy Kane’s classic “Ain’t No Half-Steppin’” delivers the finale, cementing the episode’s commitment to the foundation and evolution of hip hop culture.
