French DJ and producer DJ King Flow returns with a new edition of Mixtape Addict, delivering a fresh selection of underground hip hop. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam based international radio station, promoter, music news platform and DJ agency, the programme continues to provide a global platform for artists dedicated to the core values of hip hop culture.

DJ King Flow began DJing at the age of fourteen, developing a style rooted in boom bap while maintaining a contemporary outlook. Drawing inspiration from the foundations of 90s hip hop, his sound remains firmly connected to the present, consistently supporting emerging voices from across the international underground scene.

This ability to bridge generations has earned him recognition from listeners and artists worldwide, establishing him as a trusted selector within lyrical hip hop. Throughout his career he has collaborated with respected figures including Ras Kass, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., Juicy J and Khujo Goodie, relationships that reflect his ongoing commitment to preserving and promoting the culture's foundations.

Since launching Mixtape Addict in 2015, DJ King Flow has developed the platform into a respected hub for independent artists, combining hip hop radio broadcasts, interviews and mixtape releases to showcase authentic talent and strengthen the underground community. Alongside his work as a selector, he continues to expand his catalogue as a producer and collaborator.

His instrumental album The Adventures of F.J. Parker blends jazz influenced melodies, soulful textures, deep grooves and the raw character associated with classic hip hop production. Subsequent projects including Trill Legacy (Instrumentals) further highlighted his beat making abilities, while collaborations such as Warzone featuring Ice Crimi, Win or Lose featuring Imam T.H.U.G. and Money with Lex Lakaiser reinforced his growing presence within the contemporary underground scene.

More recent releases include Back To Basics (Mixtape Addict) featuring Faf Larage, Napoleon Da Legend, Relo and DJ Djel, Bills (Remix) featuring Khujo Goodie, Laser Rouge featuring Omaz and Joe Mack, and The Movement featuring ISH-ONE. Continuing his international approach, he followed these with the collaborative EPs Legacy alongside Dnzl Izm and Northwest Flow with Seattle emcee King Khazm, reflecting both his global network and his continued dedication to independent hip hop culture.

Interview Guest: DJ Easy.

DJ Easy, also known as Mister Mixtape, is a DJ, producer and beatmaker from Berlin, Germany. A native of the city, he has spent over two decades building a reputation rooted in authentic hip hop craftsmanship and a deep dedication to mixtape culture.

His two flagship series, Easy Listening and Pimpin Ain't Easy, have become his most recognised work, with the latter accumulating millions of downloads worldwide. Both series reflect his approach to the format as a carefully produced musical statement rather than a simple blend of tracks.

Over the course of his career, DJ Easy has collaborated with a range of American artists including Guru of Gang Starr, Joell Ortiz of Slaughterhouse, Paul Wall of Swishahouse, Papoose, Remy Ma, Vado and Amerie, establishing him as a respected figure beyond the German market.

He is also active as a club DJ and has served as resident DJ at selected Berlin events. DJ Easy can be found on Instagram at @djeasyberlin, on SoundCloud and on Facebook under the same handle.

Episode 102 of the Mixtape Addict Show gets underway with the kind of underground credibility that defines the programme's reputation. Easy Money ST, Termanology, and Skyzoo convene over DJ Manipulator's sharp, loop-driven production on The Pleasure Is Yours, a summit of East Coast Hip Hop lyricism rooted in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

38 Spesh and Curtis Coke follow with Great Wall, a hard-knocking dispatch from the Upstate New York underground, before Grafh's Squeeze First brings Queens aggression to the fore. Obleak, Yotto Beatz, Ruste Juxx, and J Vengeance pile in on Shots Through Ya Head, channelling the punishing spirit of Crown Heights Hardcore Hip Hop in the tradition Ruste Juxx inherited from Sean Price.

John Brown The Rapper, Da Beatminerz, and Smif-N-Wessun meet on Waxing In Mecca, a track pulled from one of the more compelling Boom Bap releases of 2026, reuniting the Boot Camp Clik production legacy with sharp Harlem lyricism. Freddie Gibbs pivots the set with Rabbit Mode, his effortless delivery cutting through layered production with characteristic composure.

Planet Asia and SWTR offer The Chief Rocka, bringing the West Coast Hip Hop thread into focus. Slaine and Statik Selektah's Listen Up backs it up with the kind of rugged East Coast production Statik has refined over two decades.

Kail Problems and DJ Hoppa's Rafiq Bennet, produced by Grieves, stands apart from the harder material for its cinematic, soulful introspection. Seth Gueko and Perso's Fil Du Rasoir inserts Underground Hip Hop from the French scene into the rotation, a track from Gueko's tenth solo album that demonstrates the reach of boom bap's influence beyond the Anglophone world.

Cydney Poitier, K Solo, and Thirstin Howl III round out the musical selection on Kevlar Kidz, a meeting of three distinct New York lineages: Cydney's contemporary precision, K Solo's Long Island EPMD-era heritage, and Thirstin Howl's inimitable Brownsville craft. The episode's interview guest is DJ Easy, a Berlin-based DJ whose conversation with DJ King Flow extends the show's longstanding commitment to platforming international Hip Hop voices.

Across 17 tracks, Episode 102 draws from Lawrence and Queens, from Brooklyn and Boston, from Fresno and Gary, and from France and Germany, treating Rap Music not as a relic but as a living, expanding form. With DJ Easy joining from Berlin, the Mixtape Addict Show once again demonstrates its reach well beyond US borders, and this episode stands as a strong example of what DJ King Flow continues to build.

Episode 102 of Mixtape Addict sees host DJ King Flow connect with DJ Eazy, a German-based mixtape DJ with two decades of experience in the game. Speaking from his home near the Dutch border, DJ Eazy joins King Flow for a wide-ranging conversation about the state of mixtape culture, the evolution of the DJ's role, and the projects he has been quietly building behind the scenes.

When asked for his all-time favourite DJ, DJ Eazy does not hesitate long before landing on Jazzy Jeff. He cites the seamless fluidity of his transitions, his production sensibility, and the way his mixes function as musical education, threading originals and samples together in a way that rewards close listening.

The conversation quickly turns to the state of the mixtape format, and DJ Eazy is candid about his view that the culture has largely faded. His frustration is specific: today's artists freely use the word mixtape but release projects without a DJ involved, which for him strips the format of its meaning entirely.

Growing up on the east side of Berlin in the former GDR, DJ Eazy did not have easy access to the tapes circulating in the US and France during the early nineties. What he had instead was a deep obsession with the culture, coming up through basketball and graffiti before finding his way to hip hop around 1994 and 1995.

DJs such as DJ Clue, DJ Envy, DJ Premier and Green Lantern shaped his approach to the craft from the outset. By 1998 and 1999 he was already making his own mixes, building connections through platforms like Deadpiff and later coast to coast mixtapes, and eventually collaborating with artists including Bardo, Graph, Mayo and Sky Zoo.

Those collaborations have been channelled into two long-running series. The Easy Listening series is dedicated to underground and boom bap artists, while the Pimpin Easy series leans more towards mainstream and R&B sounds.

Looking ahead, DJ Eazy has a significant amount in the pipeline. The most anticipated release is Easy Listening Volume 40, the Legends Edition, hosted by Masta Ace and built around new music from nineties veterans including Cormega and Cougnut. He is also holding a completed tape hosted by the late Fred the Godson, recorded before his passing in 2020, which he is waiting to release until the timing feels right.

Further releases featuring M Dot and Kai Problems are in the works, alongside tribute mixtapes that he describes as genuine deep digs rather than collections of obvious hits. He also floated the idea of a collaborative release with King Flow combining artists from Germany and France.

DJ Eazy's advice to younger DJs coming up is simple: do it for the love and nothing else. He credits his longevity, sustained across more than twenty years while balancing a regular job and family responsibilities, entirely to a genuine passion for hip hop and the mixtape format.

Veterans such as DJ Premier, Ice-T and Grandmaster Caz serve as his proof that dedication to the craft has no expiry date. His work can be found on SoundCloud under DJ Eazy aka Mr Mixtape, with older releases at coast to coast mixtapes and download links available on request via Instagram.

The live broadcast is planned for Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, from 8 to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay scheduled for Saturday from 8 to 10 AM (ICT).
