Episode 17 of Flamin' Hip Hop kicks off with gritty street narratives from Joe D and G Dolla on "Me N This Tequila," laying the foundation for an underground-heavy set. DJ King Flow, Thunny Brown, and Furio follow up with “Struggle,” riding Boom Bap drums and unapologetic bars. Grand Puba’s “Keep On” injects Golden Era warmth into the mix, and Joe D & G Dolla return with “Solid Niggas,” reinforcing that raw underground aesthetic.

La Cliqua’s “Toujours Plus Haut” featuring Rocca & Daddy Lord C sets off a powerful run of French Boom Bap, before The Nonce and Aceyalone’s “Bus Stops” flip the mood with jazzy, West Coast cool. KRS-One and White & Spirit unite for “The French Connection,” a sharp dose of Conscious Rap, while Masta Ace Incorporated drops the classic “Ain’t No Game.” Smif-N-Wessun hold it down with “Home Sweet Home,” balancing introspection and East Coast edge.

As the show progresses, Jazz Rap resurfaces with The Nonce’s “Mix Tapes,” contrasted by the darker intensity of Passi & White & Spirit’s “Les Flammes Du Mal.” French social commentary deepens with 2 Neg and Mystik’s “Le Temps Des Opprimés” and Destinée’s “Trop Dur.” House Of Pain’s “Who’s The Man” brings back rugged Hardcore Hip Hop, followed by KDD and X-Men delivering more French Boom Bap fire.

Das EFX tears through “Hard Core Rap Act,” paving the way for Mic Geronimo’s reflective “Wherever You Are.” The Notorious B.I.G.’s “I Got A Story To Tell” provides a storytelling masterclass before Tha Alkaholiks’ “21 And Under” wraps up the West Coast segment. The episode ends on a high with Nine’s “Hit Em Like Dis,” leaving listeners with an unfiltered blast of East Coast ferocity.

Don't miss the live stream on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, from 10 PM to 12 AM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't listen to it live, catch the replay on Sunday from 10 AM to 12 PM (ICT).
