DJ Marco Mei announces the playlist for the 2026 episode 20.

DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with another edition of his radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

With more than three decades behind the decks, Marco Mei has built a reputation for delivering eclectic and groove-driven sets that draw from House, Deep House, Tech House, Disco and Techno. His broad musical knowledge and ability to adapt to different dancefloors have made him a respected figure within underground electronic music circles across Europe and Asia.

His journey began in Turin during the early 1990s, where he became immersed in Italy's emerging underground electronic scene. Through his involvement with the influential Urban People collective, Marco helped organise events and promote house and techno culture at a formative time for the country's club movement.

An important chapter in his career followed through his residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The experience expanded his international profile and led to performances at renowned venues including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. Exposure to diverse club cultures and audiences helped shape the adaptable and globally influenced style that continues to define his approach today.

In 2009, Marco joined forces with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Together they have released more than fifty productions and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, appearing on labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx.

The partnership combines Marco's instinctive understanding of dancefloor dynamics with Stefano's musical background and production expertise. Their catalogue reflects a balance between groove, melody and functionality, maintaining a strong underground identity while embracing a wide range of electronic influences.

Alongside their studio output, Marco and Stefano continue developing new projects through remixes, collaborations and radio broadcasts. Their work remains firmly connected to underground electronic music culture while continuing to evolve with contemporary sounds and production techniques.

Now based in Taipei, Marco remains an active presence within Asia's electronic music community. Through his weekly broadcasts on Scientific Sound Asia, he continues sharing carefully selected music that blends underground traditions with modern club sounds, reflecting both his extensive experience and his enduring passion for electronic music culture.

DJ Marco Mei begins with a run of House Music grooves that move effortlessly between contemporary underground sounds and timeless dancefloor energy. 0161 Underground's Lorraine's Fire brings Deep House warmth before Butch's Official Bump Call adds a tougher club-focused edge.

Corselette's Terry Farley and Wade Teo rework introduces Balearic House influences, while COFLO's Sealion injects Funky House rhythms and uplifting vocal touches into the early stages of the mix. The journey continues through a series of classic House records that highlight the genre's enduring appeal.

Tracks from Cevin Fisher featuring Loleatta Holloway, Gambafreaks and H2O celebrate the vocal-driven sound that helped define generations of club culture. Roach Motel's Movin' On maintains the momentum before HIGHLITE and Peredel shift the mood slightly with the darker Indie Dance textures of She's A Freak (I Ain't Crazy).

As the set moves deeper into contemporary territory, Nic Vesperi and Freenzy Music deliver a rolling Tech House groove with Step By Step. Audiojack and Kevin Knapp's Get It follows with stripped-back House rhythms, while Samantha Loveridge and Solardo bring modern interpretations of classic dancefloor sounds.

The Nightwriters' Let The Music (Use You) adds a soulful Deep House touch that bridges older influences with current production styles. The final stretch celebrates the connection between House and Disco culture.

Titanic's Nicky Siano remix of Sultana introduces Cosmic Disco flair before Toomy Disco's selections keep the groove firmly locked.
