Mixtape Addict episode 44 by DJ King Flow opens with a strong focus on Shabaam Sahdeeq, whose opening selections set a rugged New York tone built on sharp delivery and raw Boom Bap drums. Changes and So Glad ease the listener in with thoughtful reflections before Watch Ya Mouth and Concrete raise the intensity and bring in heavier Hardcore elements. Street Da Villain and Sinamatik keep the aggression alive with RH2G, while Lex Lakaiser adds gritty ambition on Money. Reef Hustle shifts the mood into something more heartfelt with Mama Love, offering a brief but striking conscious moment.

The atmosphere darkens again as Hatch Wiseguy and Foul Mouth deliver the tense and menacing Snakes, followed by Chekar Kareem, Ill Po and Poncho with the grimy urgency of Raw Shit. Nutso injects Queens energy through Mind Your Bizness, grounding the set firmly in East Coast tradition before Gramz Da Hustla reinforces the street pressure with 2 Shots. Casablanca The Gawd continues that raw momentum through Blind Fury, and T O Lestat deepens the shadows with Crime Pays, bringing a noir edge to the storytelling.

Obleak takes centre stage with a two-part showcase, contrasting hip hop craft on Digging In The Craves before diving into darker territory with Impending Doom, elevated by sharp cuts from Tone Spliff. El Da Sensei, Mentplus and Venomous2000 offer a refreshing lift with Funktabulous, a celebration of golden era energy that brightens the mid-section. Lelex Luthor reconnects the mix to DJ King Flow’s production with Ralala, before Sixman drives the session back to aggressive East Coast pressure through Reservoir Dogs.

The set closes with a burst of charisma as Redman and Method Man deliver playful chemistry on Lalala, adding personality and classic Brick City flair. DJ King Flow rounds off the episode with his interview with Shabaam Sahdeeq, linking the musical arc to one of New York’s most respected underground voices. The conversation emphasises craftsmanship, longevity and authenticity, reinforcing this episode as a powerful tribute to hard-edged Boom Bap and the culture that sustains it.
