French DJ and producer DJ King Flow returns with another instalment of Mixtape Addict, delivering a sharp mix of underground hip hop alongside an exclusive interview with JR Swiftz. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based international radio station and DJ agency, the show continues to showcase raw lyricism and authentic DJ craft.
Beginning his career at just 14, DJ King Flow quickly developed a distinctive style rooted in Boom Bap with a modern twist. His sets demonstrate a deep respect for hip hop’s foundations while staying committed to lyrical authenticity, a balance that has earned him recognition across the global underground scene.
Over the years, he has worked with icons such as Ras Kass, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., Juicy J, and Khujo Goodie, bridging generations of artists and keeping the culture alive. Since its launch in 2015, Mixtape Addict has grown into a platform dedicated to supporting independent hip hop through radio, interviews, and mixtape projects.
Alongside the show, DJ King Flow continues to push boundaries as a producer. His recent instrumental project, The Adventures of F.J Parker, is a 10-track collection weaving smooth jazz grooves, pulsating house rhythms, gritty hip hop beats, and soulful R&B textures.
He has also dropped fresh singles in 2025, including Money (feat. DJ King Flow) and Give the Town Some Hope (feat. Confucius & DJ King Flow), both highlighting his versatility and evolving sound.
This week’s guest, JR Swiftz, offers his perspective on independent artistry, while DJ King Flow delivers another uncompromising session of true-school hip hop, keeping Mixtape Addict firmly at the heart of the underground.

Interview Guest: JR Swiftz.
JR Swiftz is a hip-hop producer originally from Brooklyn who later moved to Virginia, where he began developing his craft under the influence of his father, also a producer. His beats are rooted in boom bap traditions, with sample-heavy textures and hard-hitting drums, but he blends them with modern polish and clarity, giving his sound both authenticity and a contemporary edge.
He first made a mark with early beat tapes such as Soul & Party, which laid the foundation for his evolving style. Over time, he has built a strong reputation through collaborations with underground legends and respected MCs.
He has worked with artists from the Griselda collective, Elzhi, Skyzoo, and more, steadily carving out his place in the modern boom bap scene. One of his more notable projects is M.E.M.O.I.R.S. with Jamil Honesty, which highlights his ability to balance rugged East Coast energy with soulful production.
Beyond albums and collaborations, JR Swiftz also makes himself available as a producer-for-hire, offering production, mixing, and songwriting services through platforms like SoundBetter, which has helped him connect with a wider range of artists. As a guest, JR Swiftz brings insight into his creative process, his journey from Brooklyn to Virginia, and his rise from making beat tapes to producing for acclaimed rappers. His work demonstrates a deep respect for hip hop history while actively pushing the culture forward, keeping boom bap vibrant and relevant today.
The episode opens with JR Swiftz and Jamil Honesty bringing heavy Boom Bap energy, joined by Jay Royale and DJ Grazzhoppa, before Westside Gunn drops Stain with raw lyricism over JR Swiftz’s production. Planet Asia and PS The Great continue the momentum with Juxx, setting the gritty East Coast tone.
Midway through, Agallah and Blaq Medici deliver Day Ones with Sadat X, weaving classic boom bap with street wisdom. Rufus Sims, Jae Haze, and Hus Kingpin follow with Price Ain’t Cheap, while Black Stax and Black Silver add East Coast depth with sharp flows and layered production.
The set moves into darker territory with Obleak & Necro’s Haunted Remix and Marley B & DJ Hoppa’s I Am, blending underground grit with thoughtful delivery. Roc Marciano links with DJ Premier for Prayer Hands, a standout collaboration that reinforces the New York foundations.
Closing the hour, Emma Lee MC & Roccwell bring conscious depth with Hatshepsut, and Tony Moxberg, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Benny unite on Love, adding heavyweight East Coast presence. The episode concludes with DJ King Flow’s interview with JR Swiftz, offering insight into the creative force behind several standout tracks.
The live broadcast is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay planned for Saturday from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
