Among his favourite tracks are "Essential," featuring KRS-One and Rahzel, a powerful showcase of his talent and creative partnerships; "While I’m Dancing," a smooth collaboration with Common; and "Brainbender," a high-energy track featuring Ultramagnetic MCs and Prince Po. These works not only highlight his technical prowess but also his deep-rooted connections within the hip-hop community.

Beyond his recorded works, DJ JS-1 remains a steadfast advocate for the four pillars of hip-hop: DJing, MCing, graffiti, and breakdancing. His commitment to preserving the culture has made him a respected mentor and figure in the global hip-hop scene. Whether behind the decks or on stage, his passion for hip-hop is evident in every performance and project he undertakes.
