French DJ and producer DJ King Flow returns with another instalment of Mixtape Addict, presenting a finely tuned blend of underground hip hop alongside an exclusive interview with Emma Lee MC. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based international radio station and DJ agency, the show continues to stand as a global voice for lyrical excellence, DJ craftsmanship, and authentic hip hop culture.

DJ King Flow began his career at just 14, developing a distinctive style rooted in Boom Bap but sharpened with a modern edge. His sets honour hip hop’s golden era while consistently promoting new underground talent, earning him recognition and respect across the international scene.

Throughout his journey, he has collaborated with artists such as Ras Kass, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., Juicy J, and Khujo Goodie, bridging generations and preserving hip hop’s creative integrity. Since launching Mixtape Addict in 2015, he has transformed it into a respected platform dedicated to independent hip hop through radio broadcasts, interviews, and mixtape releases.

As a producer, DJ King Flow continues to expand his artistic range. His instrumental album The Adventures of F.J. Parker merges smooth jazz, deep house, soulful R&B, and raw hip hop elements into one cohesive sound. His 2025 singles Money and Give the Town Some Hope further reflect his growth and versatility.

This week’s guest, Emma Lee MC, joins the show to share her story as an artist, poet, and activist. Born in Uganda and raised in Harlem, she has built a career rooted in authenticity and self-expression, blending powerful lyricism with social awareness.

Her music and poetry reflect both resilience and creativity, using hip hop as a vehicle for truth and healing. Together, DJ King Flow and Emma Lee MC deliver an episode that celebrates the power of words, the strength of independence, and the evolving legacy of real hip hop.

Interview Guest: Emma Lee MC.

Emma Lee M.C. is a hip-hop creative and lyricist whose artistry spans poetry, music, advocacy, and visual storytelling. Born in Uganda and raised in Harlem and across New York City, she brings an expansive cultural lens to her work, drawing on her experiences from urban streets to global stages.

Her musical voice blends aggressive lyricism with soulful vocals, showing a rare duality, one moment raw and urgent, the next introspective and melodic. Emma has shared stages and worked with icons such as Nile Rodgers, Kool Keith, M1 of Dead Prez and Patti LaBelle, showcasing her ability to move between underground hip-hop, spoken word, theatre settings and high-profile platforms.

Her artistic influences are wide: hip-hop, spoken word, battle rap, theatre, jazz, and the global sounds of her Ugandan heritage. She describes her writing as rooted in live settings, the cypher, battles, theatre, formative spaces where she developed her voice.

Beyond performance, Emma Lee M.C. is also a mental-health advocate and creative producer. Her book “Y’all (NOT) Gon’ Make Me Lose My Mind: Notes from a Hip-Hop Unicorn & Suicide Survivor” addresses themes of trauma, resurgence and empowerment through her artistry and life experience.

As a guest on our show, expect Emma to dive into her journey of transformation, her role as a voice for underserved communities, and how she uses hip-hop not just as entertainment but as a tool for truth, healing and creative power.

Mixtape Addict Episode 72 opens with a stellar sequence from Emma Lee MC and Roccwell, featuring Like It’s 93 with Masta Ace and the Retrogott remix of Cravings And Withdrawals. These tracks revive golden-era Boom Bap energy through lyrical precision and vintage sampling.

As Hatshesput unfolds, Emma Lee MC’s flow cements her presence among today’s most authentic independent voices. DJ King Flow pairs this moment with gritty underground cuts like The Ermac Remix and Heartbreak, bridging raw production with modern storytelling.

The momentum continues through Gotta Get It, Game Time, and No Way Out, tracks that blend street realism with classic East Coast rhythms. Soulrocca’s Ain’t A Damn Thing Changed and Pretty Bulli’s Relate introduce reflective themes of resilience and community, while Sharpen Your Steel and Naturally expand the show’s emotional depth with sharp bars and soul-infused production.

In the final section, Rome Streetz & Cormega deliver Weight Of The World, followed by Resurrection from Jamal Gasol & Fludust, both tracks reminding listeners of the Boom Bap ethos that values truth over trend. Agallah & Blaq Medici’s Day Ones and El Gant’s Wake It Up close the mix with sharp verses and scratches that speak to Hip Hop’s timeless discipline.

DJ King Flow concludes the hour with an exclusive interview with Emma Lee MC, diving into her creative process, collaboration with Roccwell, and insight into how Boom Bap continues to evolve without losing its roots. Mixtape Addict 72 cements her and DJ King Flow’s place among the torchbearers keeping authentic Hip Hop alive.

The live broadcast is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4th, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay planned for Saturday from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
