For this edition, 6047 presents a selection of Drum and Bass and Jungle favourites from Metalheadz and Good Looking Records. The programme moves from darker and more forceful Metalheadz material into the atmospheric Drum and Bass sound associated with Good Looking Records.
6047 begins with Dillinja’s The Angels Fell, followed by Rufige Kru’s Beachdrifta and Photek’s Consciousness. These opening tracks establish a darker Jungle direction, shaped by detailed breakbeats, deep basslines and the distinctive sound associated with Metalheadz.
Lemon D’s This Is LA continues the early intensity before Adam F’s Metropolis and Total Science’s Defcom 69 move the programme into Drum and Bass territory. Commix adds Be True, followed by John B’s Up All Night and Codename John’s The Warning.
The second half shifts towards the atmospheric drum and bass breaks sound of Good Looking Records through PHD’s Contrast and Big Bud’s High Times. Biowire’s Karizma, Rantoul’s The Ladder and Pariah’s Primary Evolution maintain a more spacious and melodic direction.
Makoto’s Blackberry Jam leads into Nookie’s Leviation and Intersperse’s Moonscape. Nu-Moon closes the programme with Dark Matter, completing a guest mix that contrasts the deeper Metalheadz sound with the atmospheric Drum and Bass associated with Good Looking Records.
