Marco Mei publishes playlist for 2021 podcast 42.

Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist for his upcoming show on Scientific Sound Asia. The station operates as an Asian electronic music platform, DJ agency and event management company, connecting audiences across Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka and internationally.

Originally from Italy, Marco Mei brings more than thirty years of experience as a DJ and producer. His early influences were rooted in Afrobeat and synthesised music, which shaped his initial direction before he began DJing professionally in the early 1990s.

Over time, his career has taken him to festivals and clubs worldwide, where he has shared the decks with artists such as Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg.

As his profile developed, he secured a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm el-Sheikh.

This period marked the beginning of his international touring, allowing him to refine his craft at venues including Woo Bar, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk. Along the way, he has performed alongside respected artists such as Harry Romero, Justin Berkmann and Funk D’Void, strengthening his reputation within the global club circuit.

In 2009, he formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The project brought together their combined experience in DJing and production, resulting in a catalogue that spans house and techno. Their first signing came via 17:44, followed by releases on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox.

Since then, the duo have released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, building a solid reputation within the underground scene. Their Hard Techno remix of Virus D.D.D’s Origination stands as a recent example of their continued output.

Now based in Taipei, Marco Mei remains active across Asia, performing regularly and contributing to a growing network of artists connected through the region’s club culture. His weekly radio show reflects this breadth, featuring selections across Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno, maintaining a balance between groove, melody and forward-thinking club energy. He is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency.

Marco Mei’s Podcast 42 opens with Ta Tría Prósopa Tis Antigónis before moving into the warm groove of Lovestung and Ain't No Love Lost, setting a foundation built on House and Deep House textures. Show Some Love and Funky Boogie introduce a subtle disco influence, bringing a looser rhythm and classic dancefloor energy into the early part of the mix.

The groove continues through Power in the Floorplan remix and She Got Me On, both reinforcing a soulful House direction. The final section moves through Panacea in the Lawrence remix and From East To West, both exploring deeper and more minimal textures. Cold Shoulder and Thinking About You maintain the melodic direction, before No Goodbyes closes the session with a reflective tone. The episode balances House, Deep House, Tech House and melodic influences, delivering a cohesive underground club journey.
