Marco Mei, of the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation, is set to showcase his latest mix on Scientific Sound Asia. Broadcasting to Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and globally, Scientific Sound Asia is the go-to station for electronic music enthusiasts across the Asian continent.
Originating from Turin, Italy, Marco Mei brings over three decades of DJ experience to his show. His early years were shaped by a passion for Afrocentric music and a deep immersion in electronic music’s evolution. From crate digging in Turin’s record shops to performing at the city’s pioneering rave events, Marco has been a key figure in Italy’s burgeoning electronic music scene.
His career took off with a residency at the renowned Pacha in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, leading to international acclaim and performances at top venues like G-Star (Thailand), Fuse (Belgium), Room 18 (Taiwan), Arcan (Vietnam), Bangaluu (Germany), SOS Supper Club (Indonesia), and NLO (Belarus). He has shared stages with industry legends such as David Morales, Justin Berkman, Roger Sanchez, and many others.
Together with Stefano Ugliano (a.k.a 6884), Marco co-founded Bicycle Corporation. Their collaborative efforts have resulted in over 50 original tracks and remixes, with releases on labels like 17:44 Records, Suka, Alchemy, and WL77 Groove Traxx, spanning genres from Deep and Tech-House to French House and Techno.
Now based in Taipei, Taiwan, Marco Mei continues to be a prominent figure in the local electronic music scene, regularly performing at events such as Roots Taipei with Murphy Kin. His weekly show on Scientific Sound Asia features a diverse selection of genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno. Marco is available for international bookings through our DJ agency for Asian-based artists.
