Marco Mei has published the tracklist for episode 12 of 2021, broadcast on Saturday, the 20th of March. Scientific Sound Asia is an English-language electronic music radio station, DJ agency, music news outlet and events promoter covering electronic music across Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka and beyond.

Marco Mei is an Italian DJ and producer with more than thirty years of experience, drawn into music through afrobeat and early synthesised sounds before taking his first steps behind the decks in the early 1990s. That foundation has underpinned a career that has moved fluidly across genres and continents ever since.

A residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh was an early marker of his growing international profile, leading to a circuit that took in Woo Bar, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk. Alongside Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Justin Berkmann and Funk D'Void, he built a reputation that extended well beyond Italy.

In 2009 he joined forces with Stefano Ugliano, known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation, a production project that found an immediate home with 17:44 Records. Output across Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox has accumulated over fifty tracks and remixes spanning deep house, tech house, French house and techno, earning the duo a solid standing in the underground community.

Now based in Taipei, Marco plays regular events across the region, maintaining the European underground sensibility that has defined his sets throughout his career. His network across Southeast Asia continues to grow through those appearances, and he is available for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia radio station and DJ agency. Connect with him on Facebook.

Marco Mei's show from 20th March 2021 opens with Jinku's A1 in the Sooma Remix on Banana Hill, the Kenyan producer's polyrhythmic Organic House and World Music track providing one of the more distinctive opening selections across the entire series. Matalo!'s La Jungla Te Mira and Ricardo Villalobos's Everywhere You Go in the Ben Jones Edit then shift the set into Minimal and Deep House territory, the Chilean-German producer's presence always a signal of considered, underground programming intent.

Jean Jacques a.k.a 1980's Du Jazz Chez Mon Voisin introduces a Nu Jazz warmth before Deetron's V-NRG and Mike Dunn's Strut Cho Phunky Stuff in the Extended Black Glitter Mixx deliver a House Music and Jackin House energy rooted in Chicago's foundational dance floor tradition. Alexny's Ma Luv and Dave Leatherman and Bruce Nolan's Get You Down sustain the groove before Loods's Riviera returns to a deeper, more minimal register.

Brokenears's Cmon and Enzo Elia and Private Agenda's Distanze carry the set forward before Nosssia and Fenix J's Asuna develops a deeper, more atmospheric quality. Harry Romero and Jessica Eve's It Hurts in the Rodriguez Jr. Remix then delivers a Soulful House moment before Studio Apartment and Monique Bingham's Sun Ra Was Right in the Kususa Remix on N.E.O.N introduces an Afro House quality, the South African producer's involvement giving the track a distinctly African dancefloor sensibility.

Marsh's Healer in the Guy J Remix arrives as a Progressive House interlude before E Julian Wassermann and Raphael Mader's Moment Of Clarity and Lennart's A Nyte return the set to deeper, more Minimal territory. Luca Lozano and Mr. Ho's 2ubu in the A Better Tomorrow Mix and Sha Lor's Im In Love in the Caught Up Version add House and Soulful House warmth before DJ Wild's If You Are and Avision's Yo Listen in the Truncates 808 Edit push back towards Tech House.

Ghettoblaster and Lauren Flax's Let It Feel Alright and Shiba San's Lets Go Dancing sustain the dancefloor energy through the closing stretch before Jansons and Liz Cass's Less Ordinary returns for another appearance in the series. Cioz and Eleonora's Dancing In The Night in the Lucky Shot Extended Mix on Get Physical closes the episode with a Deep House warmth that suits the show's overall tone well.

Marco Mei's 20th March 2021 broadcast is a wide-ranging episode that covers Deep House, Minimal, Afro House and Soulful House across a tracklist that draws from an impressively diverse range of scenes and eras.
