Graham Gold publishes playlist for 'Esta La Musica' 386.

Graham Gold has unveiled the playlist for another edition of his weekly programme Esta La Musica on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences throughout the region and internationally.
The title Esta La Musica comes from a tattoo Graham received during a visit to Los Angeles in the late 1990s, symbolising his lifelong dedication to music, radio and dancefloor culture. He first gained international recognition through his influential broadcasts on London’s Kiss 100 FM, where his weekly programmes became closely associated with the rapid rise of electronic music culture during the 1990s and early 2000s.
Alongside his radio work, DJ Graham Gold became a central figure behind the legendary Peach club nights in London, helping shape the sound of progressive house and trance during one of the most important periods in UK club culture. Following his move to Southeast Asia, he launched Esta La Musica, continuing his commitment to underground electronic music while strengthening connections with audiences across Asia and beyond.
Before reaching international prominence, Graham built his reputation through London’s nightlife circuit with a decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair, where he performed six nights each week. His early fascination with Afrocentric rhythms also inspired the creation of The Funky Road Show alongside Duncan Uren, a mobile disco brand that became widely recognised across London’s West End throughout the 1970s.

By the age of eighteen, Graham was already performing black music regularly across London while also becoming active on pirate radio before later joining Capital FM. There, he hosted a weekly soul programme and received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985.
His later work with Kiss FM elevated his status internationally, resulting in eight consecutive appearances in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll and establishing him as one of the most recognisable figures in electronic music broadcasting. During this period, Graham remained highly active in the studio with productions spanning Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno and Trance.
His collaboration with Kollen, French Horn on Moon Island Records, explored a warmer Deep House sound centred around flowing grooves, melodic textures and understated rhythm. The release later appeared on the Aeonian Vol. 2 compilation, reinforcing continued underground support for his productions.
His collaborative work with Samotarev on Asymmetric Recordings also continues to gain attention through tracks such as Rising and Blue Camels. These releases blend Progressive House structure with melodic atmospheres, while the DJ Zombi & Maydan remix of Rising leans further into Melodic House & Techno with cinematic progression and layered synth work.
Together, these productions highlight Graham’s growing movement into deeper and more melodic electronic styles beyond the uplifting trance sound most associated with his earlier career.
At the same time, he continues to expand this direction through releases on Ballroom Records.
Tracks such as Uncanny Parallels and Postponed explore darker and more atmospheric Melodic House & Techno territory, combining hypnotic grooves with restrained melodic development. His collaboration with Jourdan Bordes on Manipulation introduces a more driving edge while maintaining the cinematic character that had become increasingly present in his studio output during this period.
Alongside these newer melodic productions, Graham maintained strong links to uplifting trance through releases on Discover Records. Tracks including Glorified, Living In The Now and the Manuel Le Saux remix of Moving On revisited the euphoric melodic style that helped define his global rise, while updating the sound with more contemporary production techniques suited to modern dancefloors.
Peach remains one of the most influential club brands associated with Graham Gold’s career, originally helping define London’s progressive house and trance movement through landmark events at Camden Palace during the 1990s. In more recent years, the brand has returned through reunion events in London and Ibiza, including sold-out nights at Ministry of Sound and Fabric, reconnecting long-time followers with the original Peach atmosphere while introducing the brand to newer audiences.
Now based in Thailand, Graham continues to maintain a strong presence within Southeast Asia’s electronic music scene through regular performances in Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Phuket and Pattaya. Recent appearances have included Retro Mountain, Waterfall Festival, Jungle Experience, Elephant Beach Club and Full Moon Party celebrations, alongside sunset and beach sessions that reflect his continued connection to underground dance culture throughout the region.
Through Esta La Musica, Graham Gold continues to present a broad spectrum of underground electronic music, combining decades of experience with current studio projects and carefully curated programming that moves fluidly between Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Tech House and Trance.
Esta La Musica 386 opens with Analog Jungs alongside Oliver and Tom’s Landscape, immediately establishing a Progressive House atmosphere before Oliver and Tom continue the flow with Turia. Skymate introduces a tighter groove through Soul Filler, bringing a Tech House edge into the early section of the mix.
Choopie and Tom Kin restore the Progressive House direction with Invisible Bodies, while Breeze and The Sun, together with Mike Dem and Neil Amery, introduce Afro House rhythms through Vamizi. Faraz M maintains the melodic progression with Mahtaab, keeping the underground tone consistent.
A darker shift develops through Maximiliano Gutierrez’s Minds Alike in the Donnerstag remix, introducing a deeper Techno atmosphere. Blanka Barbara returns the session toward Progressive House with Red Magic Lily in the Joseph Carlo remix before Mvmb, and Miguel Montez guides the mix into Melodic House and Techno territory.
The middle section deepens further with Vakabular’s First Time, maintaining a Techno-driven groove before Ayzk Rovshan strips the rhythm back through the Minimal and Deep Tech textures of Cake. These transitions add variation while preserving the late-night underground feel.
The closing stretch intensifies through Borne Aloft’s Grinding Molars in the Mladen Tomic remix, bringing a Peak Time Techno edge to the set. Mario D’Ambrosio rounds off the session with Inner Balance, closing the mix with a deeper Minimal groove and completing a balanced journey through Progressive House, Techno and melodic underground sounds.
