Graham Gold has unveiled the playlist for the latest edition of his weekly programme Esta La Musica on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and event promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
The show takes its name from a tattoo Graham received in Los Angeles during the late 1990s, reflecting a lifelong connection to music, radio and dancefloor culture. He first rose to international prominence through his influential broadcasts on London’s Kiss 100 FM, where his weekly shows became a defining part of the station’s electronic music identity during the rise of global dance culture.
Alongside his radio success, DJ Graham Gold became closely associated with the legendary Peach club nights in London, helping shape the sound of progressive house and trance throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Following his move to Southeast Asia, he launched Esta La Musica, continuing his focus on underground electronic music while building strong connections with audiences across Asia and beyond.
Before becoming an internationally recognised DJ, Graham Gold established himself through London’s nightlife scene with a decade-long residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair, performing six nights a week. His early passion for Afrocentric music also inspired the creation of The Funky Road Show alongside Duncan Uren, a mobile disco brand that became widely recognised throughout London’s West End during the 1970s.

By the age of eighteen, Graham was already performing black music regularly across the UK capital, later becoming active on pirate radio before joining Capital FM, where he hosted a weekly soul programme and received the Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985. His work with Kiss FM later elevated him to worldwide recognition, leading to eight consecutive appearances in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll and establishing him as one of the most recognisable names in electronic music broadcasting.
At the time of this episode, Graham remained active in the studio with releases spanning Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno and Trance. His collaboration with Kollen, French Horn on Moon Island Records, highlighted a warmer Deep House direction built around melodic textures and groove-led rhythms. The track’s inclusion on the Aeonian Vol. 2 compilation further reflected continued support within the underground scene.
His collaborative work with Samotarev also continued gaining attention through releases on Asymmetric Recordings. Rising and Blue Camels explored Progressive House and melodic club structures, while the DJ Zombi & Maydan remix of Rising leaned further into Melodic House & Techno with cinematic atmosphere and controlled progression. These productions reflected Graham’s continued evolution beyond the trance sound most associated with his earlier years.
At the same time, he maintained strong ties to uplifting trance through releases on Discover Records. Tracks such as Glorified, Living In The Now and the Manuel Le Saux remix of Moving On revisited the melodic and euphoric elements that helped define his international reputation during the peak trance era, while updating them with more contemporary production techniques.
Peach remains one of the most recognised club brands associated with Graham Gold’s career, originally helping define London’s trance and progressive house culture during the 1990s through legendary events at Camden Palace. In recent years, the brand has returned through reunion events in London and Ibiza, including sold-out Peach gatherings at Ministry of Sound and Fabric, reconnecting longtime clubbers with the classic Peach sound while introducing the brand to a newer generation of listeners.
Now based in Thailand, Graham continues to maintain a strong presence across the country’s electronic music scene with regular appearances in Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Phuket and Pattaya. His recent performances include events at Retro Mountain, Waterfall Festival, Jungle Experience, Elephant Beach Club and Full Moon Party celebrations, alongside beach and sunset sessions that reflect his continued connection to underground dance culture in Southeast Asia.
Through Esta La Musica, Graham Gold continues to present a broad spectrum of underground electronic sounds, combining decades of experience with ongoing studio work and carefully curated selections that move fluidly between Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Tech House and Trance.
The show opens with Den Ishu and Arado’s More, introducing a stripped-back Minimal and Deep Tech groove before Moby’s Too Much Change in the KAS:ST remix moves into darker melodic territory. Naz continues this direction with Voodoo, establishing a deep and atmospheric flow early in the mix.
Audioglider shifts the energy through Tunnel Visions, bringing an Electro House edge before Sandra Collins and Micke return the session toward Progressive House with Zero Logic Redux in the Kaspar Tasane remix. This transition maintains the underground feel while broadening the sonic range.
The middle section is driven by melodic selections from GNTN and Stylo with Goom Gum, where Rhinos & Brass and Teleport reinforce the Melodic House and Techno foundation. Joris Voorn, alongside Lazarusman deepen the atmosphere further with The City in the Olivier Giacomotto remix.
Jove continues the melodic progression with Obscure Unknown, maintaining a smooth and immersive flow before Wyatt Marshall introduces a tighter Tech House groove through Another Redundant Question. Perky Wires then returns the set toward a deeper Minimal direction with Delerium.
The closing stretch moves into a warmer House Music groove as Pax and Gorgon City’s Alive introduces a more vocal-driven feel. Supernova rounds off the session with The Reef in the Reuben Mandolini remix, completing a balanced journey through melodic, deep and groove-led electronic styles.
