Bicycle Corporation unveils episode 143 of their Electronic Roots series. The show is hosted on Scientific Sound Asia, an Asian electronic music radio station, music news outlet, DJ agency and promoter connecting regional and international audiences through carefully curated programming.

Bicycle Corporation is the collaboration between Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and multi-instrumentalist Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Since forming the project, the duo have developed a catalogue of more than fifty releases and remixes across a range of electronic styles, including Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno, building a steady reputation within the underground scene.

Marco Mei began his career in the early 1990s during the rise of Italy’s house and techno movement. As a founding member of the Urban People collective, he played an active role in organising events across the country, helping to shape local club culture.

This period laid the groundwork for his development as a DJ, eventually leading to international bookings and a residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh. From there, he expanded his reach across Europe and Asia, performing at clubs and festivals while refining a style that balances groove, depth and versatility.

Stefano Ugliano, born and raised in Turin, developed a strong musical background through classical piano, percussion and drums. His early influences ranged from composers such as Chopin to the rhythmic structures of West African percussion.

Despite this traditional training, he became increasingly drawn to electronic music and the role of the DJ, particularly at a time when underground sounds were not widely accessible through Italian radio. His transition into production allowed him to explore these influences further and shape a distinct musical identity.

When Marco and Stefano joined forces, Bicycle Corporation emerged as a project built on shared experience and complementary skills. Their productions have been released on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox, gaining support from DJs across the international circuit. Their work continues to evolve, moving across house and techno while maintaining a consistent underground focus.

Alongside their studio output, the duo remain active through radio and live performances as part of the Scientific Sound Asia roster. In recent years, they have also revisited earlier material, making selected releases available through Bandcamp, reflecting a continued connection to their roots while maintaining forward momentum within the electronic music community.

Electronic Roots 143 opens with tINI’s Perrax En La Calle, bringing an Electro House edge before The Hacker introduces a darker Electronica tone with Flesh And Bone. Dixon alongside Trikk and Tri/xon shifts the energy into a groove-led House direction with Workout, setting a solid early foundation.

Momentum builds through Volkoder’s All Night Long and She Kisses, establishing a Tech House rhythm that continues with Ayybo and Ragie Ban and Dreya V. Lupe and Mailx maintain this flow, keeping the groove consistent and club-focused.

A melodic shift comes with Nina Simone’s Take Care Of Business in the Solomun version, introducing Melodic House and Techno elements. Jordan Nocturne and Myd add variation through Electronic textures, while Dahlbäck and Dahlbäck bring a Peak Time Techno edge with Forsberg Loves The Acid.

The middle section blends Indie Dance and Tech House as Fedele, Adam Ten and Mita Gami alongside Airwolf Paradise maintain a steady groove. Cassian and Christian Nielsen deepen the melodic direction, while David Tort returns the set to a more driving Tech House structure.

Later in the mix, Disfreq and Fa Bé continue the Indie Dance progression, while Malou and Vintage Culture introduce a Bass House element with Âme Et L'Or. Frank Sonic and Dist_42 push into Peak Time Techno, increasing intensity before a deeper shift.

The closing stretch moves into deeper territory with Irini’s Convexed and Gb3am, followed by K-Alexi Shelby’s Season Of The Real adding a Raw Techno influence. Ketiov and Edvvin bring the groove back to House before Lauer’s Miamisync rounds off a diverse set, balancing House, Techno and Indie Dance throughout.

Listen to the live broadcast on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), and listen to the replay on Sunday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
