The Boom Bap Show, presented by DJ Ronsha and G-Zon, is a flagship programme on Scientific Sound Asia, committed to maintaining the authentic spirit of genuine Hip-Hop. Broadcasting each week, the show provides a powerful combination of Boom Bap, Underground Hip-Hop and Rap, serving as an important platform for both established purists and rising artists. Scientific Sound Asia continues expanding as a respected radio station, DJ agency and promoter, with extensive international reach across Asia and further afield.

G-Zon has been a central figure in the Parisian rap scene since the 1980s, contributing to the establishment of French Boom Bap. His creative partnership with DJ Ronsha led to the formation of La Meute, a collective recognised for uncompromising lyrics and raw production. Together, they have supported a sound grounded in tradition while consistently exploring creative boundaries.

An important achievement in their development was the release of Danse Avec Les Loups, an acclaimed project featuring collaborations with prominent French artists, including 20SYL (of Hocus Pocus and C2C) and Black M (of Sexion d'Assaut). The album brought La Meute greater international recognition while remaining true to its underground principles.

DJ Ronsha, also based in Paris, is respected for his sharp production style and extensive musical knowledge. As the show's resident DJ and La Meute's main beatmaker, his carefully selected tracks and refined mixes give the programme its distinctive character. In addition to spotlighting classics, he frequently introduces new talent, reinforcing the culture's roots while supporting its evolution.

Together, DJ Ronsha and G-Zon have built more than just a radio show. They represent a movement. Through their work with La Meute, their live performances, and international collaborations, they continue to connect Hip-Hop fans across generations, ensuring the genre’s legacy and future remain intertwined.

The show opens with Lil Dee & Matt Echo on Popular and Thirstin Howl The 3rd alongside DJ SSS on Ultra Ill Magnetic Street, laying down pure underground grit. Justo The MC & Jay Rilez’s Rich Man adds lyrical finesse, while Muja & Dub Sonata introduce mellow tones with Tranquilo and Put It Inna Book. Silent Funk, backed by DJ JS-1’s cuts, intensifies the energy with Can’t Ignore Us, before Paulo Mac The Arpium & DJ Sylo raise the stakes on It’s War.

Momentum builds as One Sun & William Bostick’s Good Ole Days taps into nostalgia, while Cymarshall Law & Slimline Mutha’s Light A Fire add conscious firepower. Underground gems follow with uMaNg & B.B.Z Darney’s Return 2 The Classics featuring Shabaam Sahdeeq, and Verbalist & DJ Proof’s Highly Venomous. Red Inf & Element Bolo’s Queens Get Da Money keeps the East Coast vibe alive, while The Usual Suspects pack raw cypher energy into 50 Clip.

The mix continues with standout lyricism from Blame One & Chill Ill’s What’s The Answer featuring Aloe Blacc and Bucket Top Boogz’s ’98 Shamrock. Bronze Nazareth’s production shines on Bloodshot and Tartarian Awakening, featuring El Da Sensei, 4-IZE, and Killah Priest. Fashawn & Marc Spano link with Blu on No Comply, while Guilty Simpson and Abstract Orchestra darken the mood with Big Bad Wolf. Yesh & Soulful Soze, with Lil Fame, reintroduce hardcore East Coast delivery on The Draw.

Closing the session, AJ The Big Fella & A Producer Named 2 bring tribute vibes with Questlove, Onaje Jordan delivers rugged realism on Fiends Like It Raw, and Memphis Bleek teams with Mario Winains for Believe It. RJ Payne & Sevin Soprano’s Hell’s Kitchen and Flee Lord & Eto’s Moral Of Struggle ensure hardcore tones, while Sule and Nyckles Productionz end on a sharp note with Warfare. This extended journey shows why DJ Ronsha & G-Zon remain at the forefront of the boom bap movement, balancing East Coast classics, hardcore grit, and conscious flows.
