DJ Marco Mei of the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation has announced the track list for his next show. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic dance music genre radio station, DJ agency, and promoter for Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and globally.
Marco Mei is a disc jockey hailing from Turin, Italy, with a career spanning over three decades. From an early age, Marco developed a deep appreciation for Afrocentric music and witnessed the evolution of electronic music. He spent his youth immersed in the vibrant music scene of Turin, crate digging in record shops and attending and performing at early Afrocentric, House music, and Techno events in his hometown.
As his passion for music grew, Marco, along with his companions, began organizing events under the banner of Urban People, which quickly gained popularity across Italy. After a decade of hosting successful events, Marco Mei's talent and skills as a disc jockey caught the attention of the globally acclaimed Pacha in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt. He secured a residency at this renowned venue, which marked a significant turning point in his career and propelled him to international recognition.
Marco Mei's residency at Pacha in Sharm-El-Sheikh opened doors for him to tour the world and perform his art with prowess. He graced the turntables at prestigious venues across the globe, including G-Star in Thailand, Fuse in Belgium, Room 18 in Taiwan, Arcan in Vietnam, Bangaluu in Germany, SOS Supper Club in Indonesia, NLO in Belarus, and many more. Marco had the privilege of sharing the stage with heavyweight artists such as David Morales, Justin Berkman, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry Romero, Ralph Falcon, and many others.
After his residency, Marco Mei joined forces with his close friend Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form the dynamic duo Bicycle Corporation. Combining their production skills, the duo released a flurry of original works and remixes, amassing an impressive discography of over 50 tracks. Their music spans multiple genres, including Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno. Their releases found homes on respected labels such as 17:44 Records, Suka, Alchemy, WL77 Groove Traxx, and many more.
In 2010, Marco Mei made a significant move by relocating to Taipei, Taiwan, where he currently resides. Embracing his new home, he continues to showcase his talent by playing House Music and Techno at regular events across the Taiwanese capital. Before the global lockdown, Marco embarked on extensive travels throughout Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe, leaving his mark on the music scenes of diverse countries. He became a regular performer at clubs and venues, including the highly regarded Roots Taipei and Electronic Roots.
In addition to his live performances, Marco Mei hosts a popular weekly radio show that has garnered a dedicated following. His show features a broad selection of genres, including House, Melodic House, Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno. This platform allows him to share his diverse musical tastes and showcase both established and emerging artists.
