DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with a new edition of his radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Marco has developed a sound shaped by Afro-influenced rhythms, deep house foundations and club-driven energy. His approach reflects a strong connection to the dancefloor, supported by experience and a refined selection style built over time. This long-term perspective allows him to move fluidly between styles while maintaining a clear sense of direction in his sets.

Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s in Turin, where he became involved in the city’s underground scene. Through the Urban People collective, he helped organise independent events that contributed to Italy’s early electronic music movement, building a foundation that would later support his international career. These early experiences shaped both his technical approach and his understanding of crowd dynamics.

A key stage in his development came with a residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh. This period expanded his international profile and led to performances at venues such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances exposed him to a wide range of audiences and club environments, further refining his adaptable and globally informed style.

In 2009, he partnered with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Since then, the duo have released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno on labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. Their collaborative work reflects a balance between Marco’s club-focused instincts and Stefano’s structured musical background.

Their productions combine melodic detail with functional club structure, maintaining a balance between groove, arrangement and dancefloor impact. This approach has helped establish Bicycle Corporation as a consistent presence within the underground house and techno scene, with a catalogue that reflects both versatility and cohesion.

Beyond their releases, the duo continue to explore new creative directions through remixes, collaborations and electronic music radio work. Their output remains grounded in underground principles while adapting to contemporary production standards and evolving audience expectations.

Now based in Taipei, Marco Mei remains active across the Asian electronic music community. Through his weekly online radio show, he continues to present carefully curated sets that balance underground foundations with contemporary club sounds. Each broadcast reflects both his long-standing experience and his ongoing artistic development, reinforcing his role as a reliable and forward-thinking selector within the global scene.

Marco Mei 2026 episode 17 opens with Âme’s Love Is The Dance, establishing an Indie Dance tone before John Noseda and Josh Gigante continue the groove with My Desire and Feel So Right. Malandra Jr. and Marcello Giordani, alongside Whodamanny, bring a more playful energy through Pam Pam and Marcelo, blending Indie Dance with Dance elements.

Momentum builds with Musk and Helen Salvin’s Dance Dance Dance, while Red Axes and Man Parrish introduce a deeper, Minimal Tech-driven edge with Hot Rod To Hell And Back. Stefan Braatz shifts the set toward House with Planet 2 Planet, creating a smooth transition.

The middle section moves into melodic territory as Gregor Tresher and Booka Shade deliver Concrete Echoes and Your Command, followed by Pablo Say’s Dance Groove and VIP, reinforcing the Melodic House and Techno direction.

A shift in tone comes with Phil Fuldner’s The Final and Das Komplex’s Prad Wsteczny, where House and Balearic elements add variation. DJ Fix and Jek introduce an uplifting Trance moment with It’s Warmer By The Trees, expanding the sonic range.

The later stages return to club-driven energy as Beltran and The Flirts, alongside Askar and Pippi Ciez bring Tech House and Indie Dance influences. Irini’s Convexed and Gb3am add an electronic texture before Jonathan Kaspar pushes into Peak Time Techno with Yah.

The closing stretch features Marc Romboy and Blake Baxter with Freakin’, maintaining a Tech House groove before DJ Simi’s Hamm Jazz adds a Jackin House finish. Across the session, Marco Mei blends Indie Dance, melodic and club-driven sounds into a varied and cohesive journey.

DJ Marco Mei is set to perform live on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss the live performance, you can listen to the replay on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM (ICT).
