DJ Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with another instalment of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Broadcasting across Asia and worldwide, the station continues to champion underground electronic and urban music while supporting DJs, producers, and audiences through its platform, events, and DJ agency.

With more than three decades on the international circuit, Marco has established a reputation for versatile, genre-spanning sets that fuse Afro-inspired rhythms with deep house grooves and club-driven electronics. His musical knowledge, honed through years of digging and performing, has earned him loyal followings on dancefloors across continents.

Marco’s career began in the early 1990s in Turin, Italy, where he immersed himself in the underground movement. Nights spent in clubs and endless hours in record shops sharpened his passion for house, techno, and Afrobeat, eventually leading to the formation of Urban People, a collective that became a defining force in Italy’s emerging electronic scene.

A breakthrough arrived with his residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, opening doors to international stages at iconic venues such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2009, Marco teamed up with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, with appearances on respected labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.

Since relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco has become a leading figure in Taiwan’s underground music community. His sets reflect a global outlook, weaving eclectic influences while staying rooted in the traditions of house and techno.

As host of his acclaimed show on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco continues to deliver mixes that embody the vitality and depth of his live performances. Each broadcast affirms his enduring dedication to underground culture and his ability to connect with audiences worldwide.

With decades of experience, an international perspective, and a commitment to pushing boundaries, Marco Mei remains a key influence in house and techno, shaping the scene through his solo projects, Bicycle Corporation collaborations, and regular radio presence.

DJ Marco Mei’s Episode 32 sets off with the punch of D.O.D – The Struggle and soulful selections from Cinthie and Butch, grounding the mix firmly in House and Deep House. CASSIMM’s I’ll Take You There and Flight Facilities’ reimagined Dancing On My Own add a vocal-driven spark before Dennis Quin and Dave Gerrard deepen the groove.

Midway through, the energy builds with Kerri Chandler’s timeless influence on You Are In My System alongside Kolter’s Be Real. Marco weaves classic House warmth with sharp-edged grooves like Huxley’s Box Clever and Kristin Velvet’s Believer. Julian Fox and Harry Romero bring Tech House fire, balancing vocal and instrumental energy across the set.

The second half moves into playful territory with Jellybean’s Toot Toot and Twilight Dome Pt. 2, before Bitter End’s Thelma Hous and Kneel B4 Thelma add nostalgic Disco House flavours. Marco contrasts this with Metroplane’s Indie Dance cut Be Where I Am and the unique textures of Damian Lazarus and Fatima Yamaha edits, threading eclecticism into the flow.

Closing strong, Episode 32 fuses old-school vibes with modern club energy. From Disco House grooves to Indie Dance synths and modern Tech House, Marco Mei crafts a set that bridges eras while keeping the pulse on today’s underground dancefloors.

Be sure to catch DJ Marco Mei's live performance on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't make it for the live show, the replay is available on Wednesday from 6 to 8 AM ICT.
