DJ Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with another edition of his long-running radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Broadcasting across Asia and worldwide, the station continues to champion underground electronic and urban music while supporting DJs, producers, and listeners through its platform, events, and DJ agency.
With over thirty years on the international circuit, Marco has earned a reputation for versatile, genre-spanning sets that fuse Afro-inspired rhythms with house grooves and club-focused electronics. His deep musical knowledge and energetic performances have built loyal followings on dancefloors across the globe.
Marco’s career began in the early 1990s in Turin, Italy, where he immersed himself in the underground scene. Countless hours spent in record shops and clubs nurtured a passion for house, techno, and Afrobeat, leading to the creation of Urban People, a collective that became a cornerstone of Italy’s emerging electronic movement.
A breakthrough came with his residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, which opened the door to appearances at renowned venues including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2009, Marco teamed up with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. The duo have since released more than fifty tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, with support from respected labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.
Relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco has become a central figure in Taiwan’s underground community. His sets reflect a global sensibility, weaving diverse influences while staying true to the roots of club culture.
As host of his acclaimed show on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco continues to deliver mixes that mirror the depth and energy of his live performances. Each broadcast demonstrates his enduring commitment to underground music and his ability to connect with audiences worldwide.
With decades of experience, a global outlook, and an unwavering love for music, Marco Mei remains a key influence in house and techno, shaping the scene through his solo work, Bicycle Corporation projects, and radio presence.
DJ Marco Mei’s 2025 Episode 30 opens with Criminal House’s Rhythm Talk (Rick’s Mix) and Chemars’ The Message, laying down classic and jackin house grooves. Anzu’s Rhythm Player and Gene Farris’ Jackin add funky and driving textures, followed by house gems from Aldo Cadiz, Chaney, and Dexter Ess.
The set builds momentum with Jamie Jones & Nicole Moudaber’s Where All My Peopl and Jordan Peak’s remix of Front 2 Back. Damian Lazarus and Mathew Jonson’s R U Dreaming rework provides a hypnotic edge, while Clinique Lacuna and Kim Anh expand the spectrum with melodic house and dance energy. Los Hermanos’ Keep Hold Tight delivers peak-time techno drive.
Jackin and disco flavours return with Monsieur Van Pratt’s Stimulation and Northend’s Happy Days remix, while William Kiss and collaborators’ Without U keeps the groove flowing. Nu disco highlights like Machine’s There But For The Grace Of God Go I and Patrick Cowley’s Get A Little remix add retro flair. Never Dull’s Dangerous injects modern dance vitality.
Closing selections include Nic Fanciulli’s La Luna and Ronnie Spiteri’s Invisible, leading into deeper house moods with That Kid Chris’ Don’t Take Your Love. Classic house echoes return with Troy Brown’s Feel Allright and What We Had. Episode 30 encapsulates Marco Mei’s wide-ranging style, weaving house, disco, techno, and electronic elements into a timeless session.
