DJ Marco Mei announces the playlist for the 2025 episode 28.

Marco Mei, the veteran Italian DJ and producer behind Bicycle Corporation, returns with another edition of his acclaimed radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Broadcasting across Asia and internationally, the station continues to champion underground electronic and urban music, supporting DJs, producers, and listeners through its radio platform, live events, and DJ agency.

With more than three decades in the global scene, Marco has built a reputation for energetic, genre-spanning sets that fuse Afro-inspired rhythms, driving house grooves, and club-focused electronics. His deep musical knowledge and dynamic performances have earned him loyal followers on dancefloors worldwide.

Marco’s career began in the early 1990s in Turin, Italy, where he immersed himself in the underground scene, spending long hours in record shops and honing his craft. His passion for House, Techno, and Afrobeat led him to co-found Urban People, a collective that helped shape Italy’s early electronic music culture.

A major breakthrough came with his residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, opening the door to appearances at leading venues such as Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2009, Marco teamed up with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to create Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released more than 50 tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno, with support from respected labels such as Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka, and GrooveTraxx.

Since relocating to Taipei in 2010, Marco has become a key figure in Taiwan’s underground scene. His sets reflect a global sensibility, blending diverse influences while staying true to timeless club traditions.

As host of his long-running show on Scientific Sound Asia, Marco curates episodes that capture the same depth and energy as his live performances. Each broadcast reflects his enduring passion for underground sounds and his ability to connect with audiences worldwide.

With decades of experience, a global outlook, and an unshakable love for music, Marco Mei continues to influence the worlds of House and Techno through his solo projects, Bicycle Corporation releases, and ongoing radio presence.

DJ Marco Mei begins Episode 28 with the House-driven cut Spank by Kiddy Smile and Stephanie Mills’ What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin in a Nu Disco rework. Funky House and Disco grooves shine with The JB’s Just Wanna Make You Dance and War’s Galaxy (Dr Packer Remix), setting the stage with soulful depth and jazz-funk textures.

The energy rises with Patrick Topping’s Want U and Tibasko’s Not ur Business, flowing into Acid House via Potato Gun’s Mr. Harland’s Opus. Afro-inspired rhythms surface in Soma Soul & Ed Begley’s As We Fall In (Lehar Remix), while Blackchild (ITA) brings both House and Tech House balance with Saint-Tropez and Sensual Disguise.

The session concludes on a classic note with PJ’s Luv Will Make It Right...Again, and Brian Smith’s Missing You. Mixing House, Tech House, Nu Disco, Jackin House, Funk, and Jazz-Funk, Marco Mei delivers a versatile journey from vintage grooves to forward-thinking rhythms.
