Episode 729 of After Hours offers an immersive and emotional progressive house experience curated by PatriZe on Scientific Sound Asia. This platform functions as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, and promoter, while also publishing music news and linking audiences both regionally and globally.

Currently residing in Thailand, DJ PatriZe has become a notable presence in the progressive house scene. His music is inspired by early trance and techno, evolving into extended DJ sets characterized by melodic flow, controlled tension, and meticulously crafted progression. This style demonstrates a deep comprehension of pacing, atmosphere, and continuity in lengthy electronic music performances.

Instead of depending on sudden climaxes, his technique enables tracks to evolve slowly through gentle energy changes and immersive layering. Collaborations with artists like Guy J and Pole Folder have honed his technical accuracy and expressive storytelling in music.

A pivotal point in his career occurred in 2010 when he triumphed in the Night Museum DJ Competition, which resulted in greater international acclaim. In 2015, he co-founded AH Digital alongside Hypnotised, establishing a label and platform focused on underground progressive house and melodic electronic music.

Since that time, AH Digital has backed both new and seasoned artists, with its first release, Inhabitants of Another Realm, making it into the Beatport Top 20 and solidifying the label's standing in the progressive scene. Through the label, PatriZe continues to influence the genre as both a curator and producer, consistently upholding an underground focus.

His more recent works, such as the 2025 remix of The Loon on AH Digital, showcase the ongoing evolution of his sound. This release blends melodic richness with meticulous arrangement, incorporating darker progressive elements while maintaining the clarity and progression that define his style.

In addition to his residencies and appearances at events in venues such as Beachspot, Thai Lounge, and Terrace in Pattaya, along with frequent broadcasts on international radio platforms, PatriZe is consistently developing After Hours into a venue for sophisticated track selection and extended musical narratives. His sets prioritize progression, atmosphere, and emotional continuity over quick transitions or peak-focused structures.

As a DJ, producer, and co-founder of AH Digital, PatriZe consistently demonstrates a dedication to melodic progression, atmosphere, and emotional depth. Episode 729 upholds this approach, further establishing his thoughtful and steady influence in the modern progressive house scene.

This week on After Hours, the show welcomes DJ Dionatan for a deep journey through melodic grooves, hypnotic rhythms and underground progressive sounds on Scientific Sound Asia. Hailing from Nonoai in southern Brazil, Dionatan represents a new generation of artists exploring emotional depth through electronic music.

Over the last two years, he has developed a strong connection to DJing through Progressive House and Deep House, using both genres as a way of translating atmosphere, movement and emotion into carefully structured sound. For Dionatan, Progressive House reflects constant evolution through gradual tension, layered progression and controlled release.

His approach focuses on building energy naturally across a set, allowing rhythms and melodies to unfold with patience and continuity rather than relying on immediate impact. This emphasis on progression shapes the narrative flow of his performances.

Deep House provides the more introspective side of his sound, centred around hypnotic grooves, warm textures and immersive atmospheres. Through slower development and deeper rhythmic structures, he aims to create a closer emotional connection with the listener while maintaining a steady dancefloor pulse.

His sets are designed as complete journeys rather than collections of individual tracks, with each transition contributing to a wider sense of movement and storytelling. Balancing melodic detail with underground club energy, Dionatan explores the space between emotion and rhythm, creating moments that feel both reflective and dancefloor-focused.

From the interior of Rio Grande do Sul to an expanding international audience, Dionatan continues developing a sound rooted in atmosphere, progression and emotional connection. His appearance on After Hours reflects this evolving artistic direction, delivering a carefully shaped session built around melodic depth, hypnotic flow and immersive underground electronic music.

PatriZe opens the first hour with Emi CA’s Meraki, immediately establishing a deep Progressive House atmosphere before Menkee’s Different World in the Will Daley and ARJ (IR) remix continues the flowing underground direction. IVADRO’s Algorithm and HAFT’s Myntal maintain the hypnotic melodic progression with rolling percussion and layered atmospheric textures.

Kevin Manning’s Level Change in the Niko Ava remix alongside Ruben Karapetyan’s Between The Lines deepen the Progressive House flow with cinematic melodic structures and steady rhythmic movement. Liam Garcia’s When You Leave in the D-MICE remix introduces another emotional melodic moment before Redspace and NIQLA continue the groove through Calling All The Freaks.

The latter part of PatriZe’s set moves through Don Creek’s Open Eyes in the RNDØM remix and Michael A’s Biome, both maintaining the deep underground Progressive identity running throughout the first hour. The pacing remains smooth and immersive, focusing on long-form progression and atmospheric tension.

DJ Dionatan shifts the second hour toward deeper Organic and Electronica influences through Heavenchord’s Forest Wind and D-MICE’s Unleashed Memories. Deephope alongside Kanedo add warm Deep House textures through Shared Vision in the BIG AL remix before Fran Garay restores the Progressive House direction with Lazhar.

The final stretch is heavily shaped by HAFT remixes and productions, creating a cohesive Organic House atmosphere through tracks from Nehli and Souto, KAZKO and Shayan Pasha. HAFT’s own productions Delusion and Poets Of The Fall deepen the emotional and cinematic mood before GRIFE’s About Humanism and Bodaishin with Lupe Republic’s Tales & Lights close the episode with flowing Organic House textures and atmospheric melodic progression.
