The tracklist for his new weekly show, Mixtape Addict, featuring the best Hip Hop, Rap, and Boom Bap songs, has been unveiled by French DJ King Flow. Scientific Sound Asia functions as a radio station, promoter, and DJ agency in Asia, serving an international audience.

Since the age of 14, the French artist known as DJ King Flow has been exploring 90s Hip Hop, 90s Rap and Hip Hop history, and making a significant impact in the music industry with his mixtapes. He is recognised for his outstanding Hip Hop beats and has produced music as a Hip Hop producer for renowned world star Hip Hop artists such as Ras Kass, Torae, Juicy J, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., and Khujo Goodie from Goodie Mob.

Since 2012, he has dedicated himself to linking various cities such as New York, Dallas, Providence, Miami, and Seattle to create a dynamic transatlantic movement learning a bout Hip Hop in Canada and the USA with his esteemed longtime partner, Young Amsterdam. This ambitious initiative has required extensive travel throughout the United States to foster connections with Hip Hop radio stations and Hip Hop producers and promote collaborations that transcend geographical boundaries beyond the Hip Hop scene in France.

In late 2015, King Flow came up with the idea for Mixtape Addict, which later gained worldwide recognition. From early 2019 onwards, the team travelled to France, Canada, and New York to launch the groundbreaking video interview and Hip Hop news series called Mixtape Addict Report, representing a major achievement.

Episode 7 of Mixtape Addict opens with Changes featuring Shabaam Sahdeeq and John Jiggs, a lyrical anthem that captures the grind and growth at the heart of Boom Bap. The energy continues with The Chaos by Ab Digi and the dark, cinematic grit of John Woo Flick from Conway, Benny The Butcher and Westside Gunn. DJ King Flow’s production returns throughout the set, linking artists like King F.L.O and Gramz Da Hustla in his signature underground style on tracks like International Waters and Barbarian. Each verse and transition feels crafted for Hip Hop purists who value bars and beats over trends.

Midway, the show moves into more reflective territory with Make It Home by Leo Tribe & Dr G and DJ King Flow’s own French Stimulus, highlighting his global collaborations and cross-continental connections. Cheat Code by K. Sparks & J Nolan and Watch Out by Planet Asia reinforce the set’s lyrical intensity, while Method Man & Redman’s Cereal Killer and Ghostface Killah & RZA’s The Grain anchor the mix in Golden Age authenticity.

Later tracks like Respectfully featuring Tragedy Khadafi and 100 Miles and Erybody with Black Stax demonstrate DJ King Flow’s commitment to bridging eras and voices within the Hip Hop underground. Benny The Butcher’s Summer 24 Freestyle and Vado’s Harlem inject a modern street edge, contrasting with the soulful uplift of Master Wiz’s Rainy Days and Young Amsterdam’s No Bluffin. Each selection balances grit and reflection, mirroring the duality of modern Boom Bap.

Closing with Method Man & Redman’s Cereal Killer and Ghostface Killah & RZA’s The Grain, Episode 7 cements itself as one of the most complete Mixtape Addict sets yet. By connecting underground artists with legends, DJ King Flow once again proves that Hip Hop’s real essence — lyricism, craft, and authenticity — remains alive and thriving on the airwaves of Scientific Sound Asia.
