The hour of Mixtape Addict episode 45 by DJ King Flow kicks off with Monk.E and Kyo Itachi laying down the jazzy yet gritty It Ain’t Enough, swiftly followed by the French posse cut Du Pain & Des Jeux and the spiritually charged Heaven Help Dem featuring Kendrick Lamar. Obleak keeps the darkness rolling through Diggin In The Craves and the Tone Spliff-laced Impending Doom.

Muddy Jonez and Casablanca The Gawd maintain the raw underground flavour.

Overall, DJ King Flow curates a masterclass in transatlantic boom bap blending French lyricism, NY hardcore staples and conscious undertones, crowned by an in-depth interview with the episode’s central figure Monk.E.
