French DJ and producer DJ King Flow returns with another edition of Mixtape Addict, bringing an expertly crafted mix of underground hip hop alongside an exclusive interview with Junya Boy. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based international radio station and DJ agency, the show continues to stand as a voice for lyrical skill, turntablism, and authentic hip hop culture.
DJ King Flow began his career at just 14, developing a unique approach rooted in Boom Bap but reimagined with a fresh, modern touch. His sets pay homage to hip hop’s golden era while introducing rising underground talent, earning him recognition from artists and fans worldwide.
Across the years, he has collaborated with legends including Ras Kass, Tragedy Khadafi, O.C., Juicy J, and Khujo Goodie, bridging the gap between generations and preserving the art form’s foundation. Since its creation in 2015, Mixtape Addict has grown from a radio show into a full platform supporting independent hip hop through interviews, mixtapes, and dedicated artist promotion.
As a producer, DJ King Flow continues to expand his sound. His instrumental album The Adventures of F.J. Parker blends smooth jazz textures, deep house rhythms, gritty hip hop beats, and soulful R&B influences. His 2025 singles Money and Give the Town Some Hope further demonstrate his evolution and creativity.
This week’s guest, Junya Boy, joins the show to discuss his journey as an independent artist and label founder. From Dallas, Texas, Junya Boy has channelled real-life experience into powerful storytelling and raw lyricism, reflecting resilience and determination through his music. Together, DJ King Flow and Junya Boy deliver a show that celebrates authenticity, collaboration, and the continued evolution of real hip hop.

Interview Guest: Junya Boy.
Junya Boy is a Dallas-based rapper whose story reflects resilience, transformation, and dedication to hip hop. After overcoming personal struggles, he refocused his life and career by launching his own label, Wheeler Gang Music, using his experiences as inspiration for his lyrics and outlook. His music blends old-school influences with a modern Southern sound, creating a style that’s both reflective and hard-hitting.
Recent releases such as Not Average and What Y’all Want To showcase his lyrical depth, versatility, and commitment to delivering honest, relatable storytelling. His work captures the heart of Southern hip hop, balancing raw realism with a message of determination and progress.
As a guest on the Mixtape Addict show, Junya Boy brings insight into his journey through adversity, his growth as an independent artist, and how he continues to evolve while staying true to his roots. Expect a conversation filled with perspective, authenticity, and the voice of an artist who’s using his platform to inspire others through music and perseverance.
Mixtape Addict Episode 69 opens with an exclusive conversation and a strong presence from Junya Boy, who delivers three standout cuts: Two Owe, Two Foe, Not Average, and What Y’all Want To. Each one blends Southern storytelling with East Coast-inspired Boom Bap, showcasing his lyrical range and gritty tone. DJ King Flow complements this with tight cuts and classic transitions, setting an energetic foundation that defines the episode’s raw underground feel.
The mix builds momentum through Vendetta by Sonlee & Maine The Medicine, carrying a reflective yet powerful delivery. Omen by *Xcel & Shade Cobain and It Was Written by Black Silver bring darker, more introspective energy, capturing that authentic underground pulse. DJ King Flow and Lex Lakaiser shift into a DJ-centric mode with DTSWL, layering precise scratches that bridge traditional production with sharp new-school execution.
In the mid-section, Juxx by PS The Great & Planet Asia and Taj Mahal by Mobb Deep reconnect the set to the East Coast’s lyrical core. Their polished flows ride over head-nodding drums, backed by Tone Spliff’s scratches on The Ermac Remix with Obleak and Mr Hyde, which adds that pure Boom Bap edge. Tracks like You Ain’t Poppin Remix by B Way and Jingling Baby by E Ness & Peedi Crakk inject raw club energy, while Jersey Mal’s Demon Time introduces street realism over sinister drums.
The show closes strong with Jersey by Redman, a nod to classic East Coast flavour that ties back to hip hop’s roots. John Jiggs and Butterknife Haircut wrap up the session with Teflonious Monk, a blend of intellect and aggression, sealing the episode’s tone of lyrical excellence. Across all selections, Mixtape Addict 69 celebrates authentic hip hop culture through Boom Bap precision, Underground spirit, and Hardcore grit, continuing DJ King Flow’s mission to highlight true artistry and unfiltered expression.
The live broadcast is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay planned for Saturday from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
