Interview Guest: 4-IZE.

4-IZE is a veteran hip-hop artist with deep roots in both the underground and mainstream scenes. Originally from Chicago, he began rapping in the early '90s as part of the Loudmuth Hooligans before relocating to Atlanta in 1994, where he became a respected figure in the city’s hip-hop community.

Known for his sharp lyricism, wit, and commanding delivery, 4-IZE carved out a unique lane with a style that bridges classic boom bap sensibilities and modern versatility. His early national exposure came through notable features on Ludacris’ multi-platinum albums Back for the First Time and Word of Mouf, where his dynamic voice and punchline-heavy verses helped him stand out.

From there, he continued to develop a reputation as a skilled lyricist and a dedicated representative of hip-hop culture. In 2020, he released Look Into My IZE, a full-length solo album packed with heavyweight collaborations and production from hip-hop legends including Swizz Beatz, 9th Wonder, Beatminerz, and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

The album features appearances from Talib Kweli, Sean Price, Planet Asia, and Ludacris, and was praised by hip-hop heads for its lyricism and authentic boom bap production. 4-IZE is also one-half of the duo Ultra Beast, alongside Señor Kaos.

Their album United (2019) continued his streak of concept-driven, bar-heavy music and included production from Don Cannon, D.R.U.G.S Beats, and Beatminerz. Whether solo or in collaboration, 4-IZE remains committed to pushing the culture forward while staying rooted in hip-hop’s lyrical foundation.

He’s also known for his live freestyles and energy behind the mic, with standout sessions like his High Off Life freestyle showcasing his skill in the moment. Off-stage, 4-IZE is active in the independent music scene as a producer, writer, and A&R, supporting the next wave of talent and contributing to the genre’s evolution.

As the interview guest on the show, 4-IZE brings decades of experience, battle-tested bars, and a deep love for hip-hop. Whether talking about his creative process, his journey through the industry, or his ongoing work with legends and up-and-coming artists, this interview is set to be a must-listen for anyone who appreciates real lyricism, boom bap music, and the culture at large.

Mixtape Addict 53 opens with a focused run of raw Boom Bap as 4-IZE delivers three back-to-back tracks: “Time To See” and “WeaponIZE”, both produced by D.R.U.G.S Beats, followed by the tougher “Bag Full Of Seafood” produced by HONORABLE C-NOTE. The Musalini & DJ Fresh ease the mood with “Late Nite”, blending Boom Bap with Smooth Rap, before Napoleon Da Legend and Clypto return with the reflective “Andare Via”.

2spee Gonzales keeps things bilingual and fierce with “L'Envers De La Medaille”, produced by DJ King Flow himself. Kail Problems & DJ Hoppa follow with “Whatcha Talking About”, offering underground focus and clarity. Gran Centennial and The Bad Seed deliver heavyweight verses on “Body Bag” and “Times Square” respectively, while Casablanca The Gawd & Che Noir maintain the momentum with “Readings On The Wall”.

REKS & Artisin keep it lyrical on “Super Powers”, and Agallah’s “The Hart Of New York” brings an East Coast heavyweight presence. oBleak’s “Think Critical” (cuts by Tone Spliff) builds on the underground tone before DJ Premier, Slug & Jamo Gang light up “The 1st Time” with Boom Bap precision. Snyp Life adds street credibility with “Gee Ride”, followed by El Gant & Shyste’s bar-heavy “Don't Be Telling Me”.

Lord Goat’s “Hated” and Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s “Thuggin” bring Hardcore and Alternative Hip Hop into the mix. Dilated Peoples’ “Last Line Of Defence” (produced by The Alchemist) and Casual’s “I Gotta Get Down” hold West Coast representation, while Fat Joe’s “Thank God For That White” (produced by DJ Premier) delivers the final East Coast blow. The hour closes with DJ King Flow’s exclusive interview with 4-IZE, bringing insight and reflection to a packed first half.

The live broadcast is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a replay planned for Saturday from 8 AM to 10 AM (ICT).
