DJ Joshua has unveiled the playlists for his regular programs, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements, broadcasted on Scientific Sound Asia. As a prominent DJ agency and electronic music station headquartered in Asia, Scientific Sound Asia boasts a diverse global audience.
Hailing from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has cemented his reputation as a dedicated electronic music aficionado across various platforms, including digital files, vinyl records, CDs, and tapes. During his formative years, he invested considerable time refining his DJing skills and meticulously assembling his assortment of Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout tracks.
In the early nineties, rave music genres faced considerable resistance and were notably absent from Portuguese airwaves. Despite this challenge, DJ Joshua persevered with patience and persistence, eventually securing regular gigs on local radio stations. Through these opportunities, he began disseminating his passion for rave music to a broader audience, gradually breaking down barriers and expanding the genre's reach.
DJ Joshua embarked on organizing House Music and Techno events at various clubs and bars, collaborating closely with his trusted companions. His influence extended not only to his hometown but also to other locales. However, upon welcoming his first child into the world, he decided to step back from event organization and radio performances temporarily.
As his daughter matured, DJ Joshua sensed a longing to reconnect with his origins, prompting him to launch the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. In the years since its inception, he has cultivated a devoted following and remains committed to realizing his initial vision across various prominent online platforms.
Driven by a deep-seated love for House music cultivated during his initial show, DJ Joshua felt compelled to create an additional program that would celebrate its soulful intricacies. Thus, he introduced a new show called "Velvety Elements." In recent years, his podcasts have garnered airplay on numerous global House Music and Techno radio stations, including our own.
DJ Joshua articulates that music embodies an art form, blending diverse elements to evoke emotions and inspire movement. It serves as a space where one encounters sounds that seem to drift and gently envelop the body. In essence, his aim is for listeners to relish the experience fully.
Joshua hosts weekly radio shows that showcase a fusion of House Music and Techno sub-genres. His programs encompass a diverse range of genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.
