Episode 689 of After Hours features a deep journey through Progressive House, curated by Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe, with a guest mix by Ivan Lozano. Broadcast via Scientific Sound Asia, a Vietnam-based electronic music station, promoter and agency, the series continues to connect underground artists across Asia and beyond through radio programming and live events in Ho Chi Minh City.

Now based in Thailand, PatriZe has established himself as a respected figure in the global Progressive House community. Influenced by early roots in Trance and Techno, his sound has evolved into an emotive blend of melodic and atmospheric grooves, known for seamless transitions and immersive storytelling.

His international credentials include performances across Europe and Southeast Asia, with a breakthrough moment in 2010 when he shared the stage with Guy J and Pole Folder. That same year, his win at the Night Museum DJ Competition brought him wider recognition.

In 2015, PatriZe co-founded AH Digital with long-time collaborator Hypnotised. Their debut release Inhabitants of Another Realm reached the Beatport Top 20 and included a standout remix by Rui Da Silva. Since then, the label has become a cornerstone of the Progressive House scene, supporting emerging talent and consistently charting worldwide.

Currently, PatriZe holds residencies at Beachspot and Thai Lounge & Terrace in Pattaya, while also featuring regularly on Frisky Radio’s Rising Sun and Proton Radio’s AH Digital Essentials. Through his After Hours series, he continues to champion new voices and showcase the deeper shades of Progressive House for a global audience.

Guest DJ Ivan Lozano.

Ivan Lozano is a DJ and producer from Patagonia, Argentina, who has become a distinctive presence in the Progressive House scene. He began his musical path writing rap inspired by Argentine rock and hip-hop before shifting into electronic music in 2017, where he found his focus in Progressive House.

His performances have seen him share the stage with notable artists such as Folgar, Emi Galván, Magdalena, Mayro, and Agustín Pietrocola. In 2020, Ivan moved into production, releasing music on respected labels including Digital Emotions, Transensations Records, BCSA, and Droid9 Recordings.

With upcoming releases confirmed on Mango Alley and SLC-6 Music. His tracks have gained support from leading figures like Nick Warren, Mariano Mellino, DJ Ruby, Nicholas Van Orton, Juan Ibáñez, and Mayro.

Recent highlights include his 2025 EP From Home to Barna and singles like Off the Hook and Welcome Back Dear Bluewhite. His albums Erosion (2025) and Sin Fortuna (2023) showcase the evolution of his sound, blending melodic depth with the energy of the global Progressive House movement.

PatriZe sets the tone in the first hour with a series of deep and hypnotic progressive house tracks. Highlights include Juani Bria’s Kairos, a driving opener full of layered atmospheres, and Sanjay Dutta & Dharmalogy’s Blue Beam in Luca Abayan’s remix, which adds a sweeping melodic lift.

Tracks such as Sound Fusion’s Skinwalker and Frand’s Nearby Galaxies Help Us push the set further into cosmic territory, while Maysot’s Nova Drift keeps the flow rolling. PatriZe closes with Ethen Bass’ Returning in Aamir.M’s remix, blending emotive tones with crisp grooves.

The second hour features Argentinian DJ and producer Iván Lozano, who delivers a promotional set showcasing his latest unreleased material. Early IDs with Brian Creao reveal a forward-thinking edge, pairing crisp percussive layers with hypnotic synth work. Lozano continues with his own productions, such as Burn Sequence and Ignition, both released on SLC-6, showing a flair for tight basslines and sharp rhythmic control.

Lozano expands the mood with Towards Me on Spiritual Enhancer, drawing out melodic phrasing alongside deep progressive textures. His bootleg of The Cure’s Lovesong transforms the alternative classic into a floor-ready progressive house cut, blending nostalgia with modern production. He follows with Volantis on Mango Alley, where emotive chords and expansive atmospheres shine.

Closing the mix, Lozano presents Skinnarbu on SLC-6, a driving track layered with subtle harmonics and rolling percussion. Together, PatriZe and Iván Lozano deliver a two-hour showcase of progressive house, weaving between deep hypnotic cuts and forward-looking melodic journeys.
