DJ Ingry, a respected Taiwanese DJ and seasoned selector, joins Bicycle Corporation for episode 134 of Electronic Roots, broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia. As a regional hub for electronic music, Scientific Sound Asia continues to promote underground talent across Asia and beyond through its radio shows, events, and DJ agency.

Bicycle Corporation is the joint project of Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and classically trained musician Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. With a catalogue of over 50 original tracks and remixes, the duo explore diverse sounds within House and Techno, blending rhythmic depth with melodic sensibility.

Marco began his musical journey in the early 1990s, inspired by Afro-infused electronic grooves. His role in launching the Urban People collective helped foster a vibrant scene across Italy and eventually led to his residency at the iconic Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, where he refined his international presence.

Stefano, raised in Turin, developed his skills through classical piano, percussion, and drumming, drawing on influences ranging from Chopin to West African rhythms. His fascination with electronic music and DJ culture in the ’90s eventually led to the formation of Bicycle Corporation, fusing traditional musicality with electronic experimentation.

Together, Marco and Stefano remain dedicated to their roots. Their ongoing Electronic Roots show focuses on House and Techno with guest DJs from across Asia, fostering cross-cultural exchange while preserving the underground ethos. Episode 134 with DJ Ingry continues this mission, offering a deep and groove-driven journey into the contemporary sound of the region.

Guest DJ Ingry.

DJ Ingry Lee is a well-known DJ from Taipei, Taiwan, whose music selections carry the soulful energy of New York House. Trained under Taiwanese street dance pioneer Alan Peng, she developed a style that blends Soulful, Afro, Disco, and Funk with the timeless spirit of N.Y. House.

For her, house music is more than just sound and rhythm; it is a way of life, a philosophy, and a connection to the soul. Over the years, she has been a key figure in Taiwan’s nightlife, holding residencies at respected venues such as Saloon and Barcode, while also performing at major international street dance events including Taipei Dance Delight, House City Taipei, All Dance Fever, Life for House, and Soarstice.

Her sets quickly became known for their ability to bring dancers together in pure, uplifting grooves.

Today, Ingry continues to shape the house community as the long-standing resident DJ for Just House Taiwan, which recently celebrated its 12th anniversary.

Her current work keeps her at the heart of the city’s underground dance culture, where she continues to evolve while staying true to the deep, soulful roots of house music. Whether she is behind the decks at a club, a dance event, or a festival, Ingry delivers sets that are vibrant, soulful, and filled with energy. With every performance, she invites the audience to experience house music not only as a dance but as a shared journey of rhythm, spirit, and connection.

The episode opens with a soulful groove, as Derrick McKenzie and Sarah Ozelle’s City Summer Nights sets a warm House foundation. Kenny Bobien’s Share follows with a Deep House touch, while Walter G and Francesca La Colla’s Feels In My Body adds jazz-inspired richness. Charles Dockins and Shur-I-Kan, alongside Fred Everything, keep the soulful and deep textures alive, leading into Jerome Sydenham’s Good Dog, a darker and more hypnotic groove.

Midway, Mike Dunn and N-You-Up’s Jack My Body brings a classic House energy, paired with Roland Clark’s Born To Be A DJ, which drives with Funky and Club House intensity. Coflo and Mama Stacey’s Y’all Need Jesus steers the mix deeper, while Masters At Work and Donell Rush’s Shout-N-Out continues the vocal-driven Deep House path. Mike Grant’s My Soul, My Spirit then shifts the mood towards a freer Electronica spirit.

Afro House emerges as a strong focus with Sam One’s Kitale, Luis Radio’s Papeete, and DJ Said with Cee ElAssaad’s Fela Is Everything, a remix honouring Afrobeat legacy. Sahib Muhammad’s Shine adds Dance energy, while Merlin Bobb and Masaki Morii’s Dark Rose infuses Soulful House tones. Chantay Savage and Terry Hunter’s Still blends classic vocal traditions with Masaki Morii’s production.

The show closes on Afro House richness with Kevin Borges’ Noite de Verão, Diogo Strausz’s Canto das Três Raças remixed by Kai Alcé, and Cee ElAssaad with QVLN’s Ore Yeye O. Solu Music’s Marcello wraps the journey with a Deep House groove, leaving a lasting impression that ties together Afro, Deep, Soulful, and classic House influences.
