DJ Joshua has recently revealed the playlist for his two radio shows - Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. These programs are broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, a well-known electronic music station and DJ agency located in Asia. With a diverse and extensive global fanbase, Scientific Sound Asia is highly respected for its significant contribution to the electronic music scene in Asia.
DJ Joshua is a passionate electronic music enthusiast who originates from Evora, Portugal. His deep affection for this genre is apparent in his vast collection, consisting of digital formats, vinyl records, CDs, and tapes. During his formative years, DJ Joshua devoted numerous hours to refining his DJing skills and carefully selecting tracks from various genres such as Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout.
During the 1990s, Portugal faced significant opposition to rave music, resulting in its exclusion from radio airplay. Despite this, DJ Joshua remained unwavering in his passion for electronic music.
DJ Joshua took on the responsibility of coordinating House Music and Techno events at various clubs and bars. Working closely with his colleagues, he successfully brought his artistic vision to life. His impact went beyond the local music scene, captivating audiences in different areas.
However, when his first child arrived, DJ Joshua made a heartfelt decision to temporarily step back from organizing events and performing on the radio. His main focus shifted to fully embracing his new responsibility as a parent.
As his daughter grew older, DJ Joshua experienced a renewed passion for music that was bubbling up from within him. Motivated by this inner desire, he embarked on a new creative endeavour: creating the Floating Beats podcast and radio show.
From its very beginning, the program has attracted a devoted following, with enthusiastic listeners tuning in to enjoy Joshua's thoughtfully curated selection of songs. Available on various popular online platforms, Floating Beats has become a beacon for electronic music enthusiasts.
DJ Joshua has harboured an intense love for House music since his youth, inspiring him to create a distinctive project known as "Velvety Elements" as a tribute to its profound emotional essence.
