DJ Joshua has just unveiled the lineup for his two radio programs - Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. These shows are aired on Scientific Sound Asia, a renowned electronic music station and DJ agency based in Asia. With a wide and devoted international following, Scientific Sound Asia is highly regarded for its substantial impact on the electronic music scene in Asia.
DJ Joshua is a dedicated fan of electronic music hailing from Evora, Portugal. His immense love for this genre is evident in his extensive assortment, which includes digital formats, vinyl records, CDs, and tapes. Throughout his early years, DJ Joshua dedicated countless hours to honing his DJing abilities and meticulously curating tracks from diverse genres like Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout.
In the 1990s, Portugal encountered considerable resistance towards rave music, leading to its exclusion from being played on the radio. However, DJ Joshua persevered in his unwavering love for electronic music.
DJ Joshua assumed the role of organizing House Music and Techno events at different clubs and bars. Collaborating closely with his peers, he effectively transformed his creative vision into reality. His influence extended beyond the local music scene, captivating audiences in diverse locations.
Upon the arrival of his first child, DJ Joshua made a heartfelt choice to withdraw from event organizing and radio performances temporarily. His primary emphasis shifted towards wholeheartedly embracing his new role as a parent.
As his daughter matured, DJ Joshua found a revived enthusiasm for music growing inside him. Inspired by this internal longing, he began a fresh artistic pursuit: crafting the Floating Beats podcast and radio broadcast.
Since its inception, the program has garnered a loyal fan base, with avid listeners tuning in to appreciate Joshua's meticulously curated variety of tracks. Accessible on numerous well-known online platforms, Floating Beats has emerged as a hub for fans of electronic music.
DJ Joshua has nurtured a deep affection for House music from a young age, which has motivated him to craft a unique endeavour called "Velvety Elements" as a homage to its deeply emotional core.
