DJ Joshua has recently unveiled the playlists for his recurring shows, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements, broadcasted on Scientific Sound Asia. As an established DJ agency and electronic music station based in Asia, Scientific Sound Asia boasts a diverse global audience.
Hailing from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has solidified his reputation as a dedicated enthusiast of electronic music across various platforms, including digital formats, vinyl records, CDs, and tapes. During his formative years, he invested substantial effort into refining his DJing skills and meticulously curating his collection of Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout tracks.
In the early nineties, rave music genres faced significant resistance and were notably absent from Portuguese airwaves. Despite this challenge, DJ Joshua remained undeterred, showing patience and persistence. Eventually, he secured regular gigs on local radio stations, seizing the opportunity to share his passion for rave music with a broader audience. Through his determination, DJ Joshua gradually broke down barriers and expanded the genre's influence in Portugal.
DJ Joshua embarked on organizing House Music and Techno events at various clubs and bars, collaborating closely with his trusted associates. His influence extended beyond his hometown, reaching other areas as well. However, with the arrival of his first child, he decided to temporarily step back from event organization and radio performances.
As his daughter matured, DJ Joshua felt a longing to reconnect with his roots, prompting him to launch the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. Since its introduction, he has cultivated a devoted following and remains unwavering in bringing his initial vision to fruition across various prominent online platforms.
Inspired by a deep love for House music, nurtured during his formative years, DJ Joshua was compelled to create an additional program that would celebrate its soulful intricacies. Thus, he introduced a new show titled "Velvety Elements." In recent years, his podcasts have garnered airplay on numerous global House Music and Techno radio stations, including our own.
DJ Joshua eloquently articulates that music embodies an art form, seamlessly blending diverse elements to evoke emotions and ignite movement. It serves as a realm where individuals encounter sounds that seem to drift and gently envelop the body. Fundamentally, his aim is for listeners to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
Joshua hosts weekly radio shows that spotlight a fusion of House Music and Techno sub-genres. His programs encompass a diverse range of genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.
