Bicycle Corporation has released the track list for episode 205 of their highly regarded Roots show. Aired on Scientific Sound Asia, a prominent electronic music station, event organiser, music news site and DJ agency in the region, the series continues to honour the richness and variety of global music culture, engaging audiences throughout Asia and beyond.

For more than a decade, Bicycle Corporation, the Italian duo of DJ and producer Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano (also known as 6884), has remained a vital force within the international electronic music scene. Their productions span French House, Deep House, Tech House and Techno, reflecting both their versatility and their refined sense of craftsmanship.

Marco's adventure started in the early 1990s with Urban People, a trailblazing group that played a crucial role in forming Italy's nascent underground afrocentric, house and techno scene. His innovative approach to organising events and his imaginative leadership swiftly gained him acclaim, leading to a residency with Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Stefano, who was born and grew up in Turin, built a solid musical base with classical piano, percussion, and drumming, taking inspiration from Chopin's compositions and the rhythm of traditional West African rhythms. His increasing interest in DJ culture and turntablist techniques eventually merged with his formal training, creating a unique and expressive production style.

Together, Marco and Stefano have consistently evolved while remaining deeply connected to their origins. Their enduring partnership and their recent revisiting of earlier material, now available on their Bandcamp page, highlight their ongoing dedication to their artistic path.

With Roots, they persist in exploring and paying homage to the sounds that have shaped generations. Their performances blend Funk, Disco, Afrobeat, Rare Groove, Soul, and Brazilian rhythms, creating a rich and timeless fusion that embodies the ethos of Bicycle Corporation.

Bicycle Corporation Roots 205 opens with Radio Pressure, setting a raw industrial tone before Airtandeggiando and Boogie Magic shift into jazz-infused grooves and Indie Dance tracks. Deeper Groove and Ostinato continue with a blend of Nu Disco and Jazz Rock, establishing a rhythmic and exploratory foundation early in the mix.

The session moves into classic Disco territory through Movin' In All Directions and High On The Boogie, before Work and Milko bring a mix of disco edits and electronic pop elements. Baskéda introduces a more organic and experimental African influence, while African Heritage and Watch Your Step return to a groove-led Disco direction.

Energy builds with Vamos Juntos Nesse Funk and Get A Load Of This, blending Latin, Funk and breakbeat elements with a percussive edge. It's Freeky introduces a Disco House crossover, while Shake Your Body keeps the momentum strong with a reworked classic.

The final stretch moves through James Brown's Funky Side Of Town and Get Up Offa That Thing, reinforcing the Funk core before Can You Feel It and Gaboon expand into boogie and Latin Jazz influences. Touch & Go brings a classic House groove before Living Together closes the session with a refined disco finish, delivering a rich blend of Disco, Funk, Soul and global influences throughout.
