Bicycle Corporation publish their playlist for 'Roots' 193.

Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist for episode 193 of their highly praised Roots show. Scientific Sound Asia remains a top electronic music station and DJ agency, dedicated to serving audiences across Asia and beyond.

Comprising the dynamic Italian DJ and producer duo Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, Bicycle Corporation has been a prominent presence in the music industry for over 10 years. Their extensive discography includes more than 50 tracks spanning various genres such as French House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno.

Beginning in the early 1990s, Marco launched his career by coordinating House and Techno music gatherings alongside a collective known as 'Urban People.' As time passed, his impact on the music industry grew, solidifying his reputation as a prominent and sought-after individual throughout Italy.

Marco's reputation has reached far beyond his home country, as evidenced by his international commitments. These worldwide bookings marked a significant advancement in his career, taking him outside the borders of Italy.

Hailing from Turin, Italy, Stefano showed a natural aptitude for music at a young age. He cultivated a deep love for the musical world, devoting his free time to honing his skills. Throughout his academic path, he delved into the realms of classical piano, percussion, and drums, fostering a particular fondness for Chopin's compositions and the rhythmic intricacies of the West African Djembe.

While exploring various musical styles, Stefano discovered a special interest that deeply resonated with him: DJing. In his youth, he was fascinated by DJs' expertise in handling turntables. The music he came across was seldom played on Italian radio stations back then, further enhancing the appeal of DJing as a form of art.

While for some, the notion of producing and performing music for big crowds might seem like an unattainable fantasy, Stefano faced these obstacles head-on. With persistent effort, steadfast commitment, and strong resolve, Stefano and Marco propelled Bicycle Corporation into electronic music, establishing their distinct presence in the field.

Despite achieving international recognition, Marco and Stefano have stayed true to their origins as teenagers who dabbled in electronic music. Lately, they have been revisiting some of their early tracks, contemplating their musical journey. Additionally, they have established a Bandcamp page to display these tracks, highlighting their progress and enduring dedication to their musical roots.

Hosted by Marco and Stefano, the "Roots" weekly radio program highlights a variety of music genres including Funk, Disco, Afrobeat, Rare Groove, Soul, and Brazilian music. The show pays tribute to a broad spectrum of musical traditions, with a particular focus on artists who incorporate Afrocentric influences, creating a dynamic platform for celebrating diverse musical legacies. This week their show features afrobeat, funk, Brazilian, rare groove, and re-edits.

Demonstrating their dedication to showcasing the diverse range of sounds originating from Afrocentric music traditions, their weekly broadcasts are aired every week.
