Bicycle Corporation has unveiled the playlist for episode 110 of their acclaimed radio series Foundations. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the show continues to advance the station’s mission as a leading online platform, DJ agency and event organiser, connecting listeners across Asia and beyond through forward-thinking electronic music.
Bicycle Corporation is the long-running partnership between Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and classically trained musician Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together, they have released more than fifty tracks spanning French House, Deep House, Tech House and Techno, blending club-focused energy with a refined musical sensibility. Their work honours the roots of underground dance culture while consistently pushing into new creative territory.
Marco began his journey in the early nineties within Italy’s underground house and techno movement. As a founding member of Urban People, he quickly built a reputation for dynamic, technically precise DJ sets. His rising profile soon led to international bookings across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, where he helped cultivate connections between local and global underground scenes.
Stefano, based in Torino, grew up in a musically rich environment. Encouraged by his family, he studied classical piano, percussion and drums, developing a deep appreciation for both Western and global traditions, including West African Djembe rhythms. Although grounded in classical training, he was drawn to the creative freedom of electronic music, which eventually led him to production and DJing.
At a time when electronic music in Italy was still beginning to take shape, Stefano’s interest in rhythm, sound design and musical experimentation aligned with Marco’s club-driven vision. Their creative chemistry gave rise to Bicycle Corporation, a project defined by its balance of musicality, technical skill and innovation.
Since forming, the duo have built a respected presence within the underground scene, releasing on labels such as Alchemy, Suka Records, Miniatures, WL77 and GrooveTraxx. They have also reissued several early works on their Bandcamp page, offering listeners a glimpse into the origins and evolution of their sound.
With Foundations, Marco and Stefano continue to celebrate the past while pushing toward the future. Episode 109 adds a new chapter to their evolving story, delivering a set that blends deep grooves, melodic layers, and the timeless spirit of house and techno that defines Bicycle Corporation’s sound.
The mix opens with atmospheric depth as Amount sets an early mood through Noir Residue, followed by the melodic tension of Ben Evers and Frankey and Sandrino. The melodic thread continues to strengthen through Mind Off and the Brain De Palma remix of IBZALIEN, each track adding a slightly different emotional contour. The shift into Hysteric’s analogue-driven disco palette eases the narrative into Indie Dance before NYRA’s rolling groove keeps the momentum fluid.
Paranoid London’s collaboration with Josh Caffe pivots the energy into Tech House grit, contrasting well with the melodic sweep of Phunkadelica’s remix of Changes. Yulia Niko, Alexey Union and Kinky Sound add a refined melodic push before Gabe and Roddy Lima lock in another hit of Tech House rhythm. The introduction of Irini’s Convexed and GB3AM marks a thoughtful move into Progressive House, leading neatly into Guy J’s emotive glide on Just Rain.
The progression then arcs back into melodic territory through the Drophem edit of Rapture, with Raxon’s extended remix of Sunglasses At Night building further tension. Tantum and Hyunji A bring a more introspective melodic layer before Sharam’s rework lifts the mood. PAJANE’s Crush and Rafael Cerato’s Agapo deepen the drive while Ragie Ban’s Rebels add a more dramatic edge. The Gorje Hewek remix of Opendoors and the elegant edit of Do You Still Think Of Me strengthen the melodic architecture late in the hour.
The final section blends promotional gems with reimagined classics. The YusMusica bootleg of Missing The Rapture ties Indie Dance with melodic phrasing, and The KLF’s rework pulls the set into a nostalgic but club-ready moment. John Talabot’s Destiny featuring Pional, provides a warm, hypnotic close. Bicycle Corporation deliver a rich melodic journey that balances emotion, groove, and genre fluidity, keeping Foundations 110 firmly aligned with their signature sound.
Tune in to the live broadcast on Friday, December 12th, 2025, between 10 PM and 12 AM Indochina Time (ICT), and catch the replay on Tuesday from 10 AM to 12 PM (ICT).
