Terence C joins Bicycle Corporation as the guest DJ for episode 141 of Electronic Roots, broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia. The station operates as an underground radio station, DJ agency and promoter based in Asia with an international audience, supporting electronic music culture through radio broadcasts, events and artist collaborations that connect communities across the region and beyond.
Bicycle Corporation is the long-standing collaboration between Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and classically trained musician Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The duo combine their backgrounds in House and Techno to produce music that balances rhythmic drive with melodic detail, maintaining a strong club orientation while drawing on deeper musical influences.
Marco’s journey began in the early 1990s, shaped by Afro-influenced rhythms and Italy’s developing underground club scene. His work with the Urban People collective helped establish his presence nationally before a defining residency at Pacha in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, which expanded his profile internationally and led to performances throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Stefano, born and raised in Turin, developed his musical foundation through classical piano, percussion and drum studies. Inspired by composers such as Chopin and by the rhythmic traditions of West African djembe music, he built a strong understanding of harmony, rhythm and composition that later informed his transition into electronic production.
Together, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano continue to respect their underground roots while evolving through new productions, collaborations and radio programming. Electronic Roots reflects this approach by presenting a wide range of House and Techno while inviting guest artists from across Asia and internationally to contribute to the series.
Episode 141 featuring Terence C continues this direction with a refined and groove-driven session that reflects Bicycle Corporation’s musical philosophy while highlighting the depth and diversity of Asia’s contemporary electronic music culture.

Guest DJ Terence C.
DJ Terence C, the Malaysian DJ and producer now based in Shanghai, features in this week’s edition of Electronic Roots on Scientific Sound Asia. With more than two decades of experience, he is widely regarded as one of Asia’s most respected selectors, known for technical precision, musical awareness and a consistent commitment to quality performances.
A key figure in Kuala Lumpur’s electronic music landscape, Terence played an important role in shaping the city’s house and techno culture. Long-standing residencies at influential venues helped establish his reputation for reading the crowd, smooth mixing and controlled delivery, earning him recognition within the regional underground circuit.
Throughout his career, he has shared stages with international artists including David Morales, Fatboy Slim and Pete Tong. His appearances alongside John Digweed, particularly as the Malaysian tour opener at Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur, further strengthened his reputation and helped build a loyal following across Southeast Asia.
Before the pandemic, Terence co-founded We Love Techno with DJ XU, a monthly event series focused on the driving techno styles associated with labels such as Drumcode and Cocoon. The project quickly became one of Kuala Lumpur’s notable techno events, contributing fresh momentum to the city’s club scene while reinforcing his commitment to the genre.
His journey began in 1998 under the guidance of DJ Chris Doss, leading to early performances at Cubeat and Globar. A breakthrough followed when he supported David Morales during the artist’s first appearance in Malaysia, which opened opportunities for further bookings at venues such as Movement Club, Backroom, Nouvo and Atmosphere. Regional demand soon followed, with performances at Lush in Singapore and Liquid in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2005, he co-founded Altered Image with Callen Tham and Digital, a multimedia project combining electronic music, turntablism and live visuals. The group won the Malaysian edition of the Heineken Thirst competition and went on to tour across Southeast Asia.
In recent years, Terence has explored hybrid DJ setups, combining traditional decks with Ableton Live to extend his performance possibilities and create more fluid sets. His Movement Control mix series continues to attract attention, with recent editions such as Movement Control 275 reflecting his refined track selection and forward momentum.
Now focusing on new studio work, Terence C remains an active presence within Asia’s underground electronic community. His appearance on Electronic Roots reflects both his evolving musical direction and his long-standing contribution to house and techno culture across the region.
Electronic Roots 141 begins with a warm Deep House introduction as Deep Inside sets a steady foundation before Soleil and the Jonathan Kaspar remix of Mount Zion introduce Organic and Afro House influences. The early section gradually transitions toward Progressive House through Pretty But Lost and Carousel, maintaining a smooth and melodic flow.
The mix widens its palette with Control and The Loft, balancing Melodic House energy with classic House groove. Stachelbeerspanner and Clapland shift into more experimental territory, where Electronica and Indie Dance textures add rhythmic variation before Centre keeps the atmospheric tone intact.
Momentum builds again with the Baunder remix of Fever Rising and Speranza, both reinforcing the Progressive House direction. This Feeling and Dual Code maintain the melodic balance while the set edges toward deeper electronic textures through Your Fault and the hypnotic tone of In Stasis.
The final stretch highlights melodic and cinematic energy. Technicolour and the Marc Romboy and Robert Babicz remix of Ice bring a refined Melodic House and Techno atmosphere before The Tunnel adds classic House warmth. Tremenda and Doda guide the closing moments back toward melodic and organic territory, with the Cass Is Broken remix of Fever Rising finishing the episode in a textured Electronica style that rounds out the journey.
Watch the live broadcast on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), and see the replay on Sunday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
