Terence C joins Bicycle Corporation as a guest DJ for episode 7 of Electronic Roots on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Bicycle Corporation is the collaboration between Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and classically trained musician Stefano Ugliano, known as 6884. Their work spans house, techno and deeper electronic styles, combining decades of experience in both club culture and live musicianship into a sound that has developed steadily since the project's formation.

Marco Mei entered Italy's underground electronic scene in the early 1990s through the Urban People collective, helping organise independent house and techno events before a broader international career took shape through residencies and performances across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Stefano Ugliano's background in classical piano, percussion and drums, shaped by both European compositional traditions and global rhythmic influences, gave him a strong foundation in arrangement and musicality. That grounding fed naturally into electronic production and became central to the Bicycle Corporation sound.

Their catalogue, available through Bandcamp and across various labels, spans house, techno and deeper electronic territory. Electronic Roots remains their platform for broader musical exploration, drawing in guest artists from across the international underground to extend the range of each episode.

Terence C is a Malaysian DJ and producer now based in Shanghai with over two decades of experience across Asia's underground electronic music scene. His influence on Kuala Lumpur's house and techno community has been significant, shaped through a series of respected residencies and long-running club appearances that helped define the city's underground sound.

Shared bills have included David Morales, Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong and John Digweed, the latter during Digweed's visits to Malaysia and performances at Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur. His career began in 1998 under the guidance of DJ Chris Doss, with early appearances at Cubeat and Globar before a breakthrough supporting David Morales at his first Malaysian show.

Venues including Movement, Backroom, Nouvo and Atmosphere followed, alongside regional appearances at Lush in Singapore and Liquid in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2005 he co-founded Altered Image with Callen Tham and Digital, a multimedia project combining electronic music, turntablism and live visual performance.

The concept won the Malaysian edition of the Heineken Thirst competition before touring Southeast Asia. Before the pandemic he also co-founded We Love Techno with DJ XU, a Kuala Lumpur event series dedicated to the harder sounds of labels including Drumcode and Cocoon, which became a recognised fixture in the city's techno scene.

In recent years he has evolved his performance approach through hybrid setups combining traditional mixing with Ableton Live integration. His Movement Control mix series reflects that progression through refined selection and a contemporary approach to house and techno. He remains active in the studio and on international radio alongside his live schedule. Find him on Facebook.

Bicycle Corporation's Electronic Roots Episode 07 gives Terence C the selector's role for a set that moves between Progressive House and Melodic House and Techno with a consistent melodic focus. Carl Craig's Forever Free on CircoLoco Records opens the episode, the Detroit legend's presence immediately grounding the set in a deep and authoritative underground context.

Lazarusman's Here We Are in the Instrumental on Freerange Records follows before Lee Burridge and Lost Desert's Loopyjazz on All Day I Dream introduces an Organic House warmth rooted in the label's characteristically earthy and nature-conscious aesthetic. Hermanez and Lost Desert's Other Side, also on All Day I Dream, sustains that organic direction before Sejva's Nite Drive in the Reznik and Good Guy Mikesh Remix on VOD and Captain Mustache's Bleu Ciel on Bedrock Records shift the set into more driven progressive territory.

John Tejada and Ulrich Krieger then contribute two consecutive Palette Recordings selections, Silversonic in its Original Mix form and in the Josh Wink Interpretation, the contrasting approaches to the same source material providing an instructive pairing within the set. Jonathan Kaspar's Invert Drift on Cocoon Recordings and Spencer Brown's Cumulonimbus Incus on Last Night On Earth carry the set through Melodic House and Techno territory before Dominik Marz's Shine on Feines Tier and Deetron's Ego Rave A on Running Back sustain the progressive direction.

Sebastian Mullaert's Sculpture of Noor on International Day Off then provides one of the episode's more introspective and atmospheric moments, the Swedish producer's contemplative electronic sensibility sitting at a slight remove from the more driven selections either side of it. Dave Seaman's Buzzfuzzle in the Luke Brancaccio and Gai Barone Remix on Selador and Pig and Dan's I Can See You on Elevate carry the set through Progressive House territory before Queer On Acid's Houseum on Ovum Recordings introduces a warmer and more groove-led quality.

Semodi and Mailys's Next Summer in the Theus Mago Remix on THISBE Recordings and DJ Samer's Diaspora on Bedrock Records carry the set into its closing stretch before Of Norway's Paralell Lines Meet At Infinity in the Prins Thomas Remix and Pandreas's Bulgaria in the Prins Thomas Diskomiks, both on Full Pupp, close the episode on a Nu Disco and Balearic note. Terence C's selection for Episode 07 is a coherent and melodically consistent piece of programming that balances progressive underground credentials with moments of organic warmth and Balearic lightness throughout.
