Episode 708 of After Hours delivers a deep and immersive Progressive House journey led by resident DJ Hypnotised. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the Vietnam-based electronic music station, promoter and DJ agency, the series continues to connect underground artists and listeners across Asia and internationally through radio programming and live events.

Based in Ghent, Belgium, Hypnotised has built a strong reputation for melodic, story-driven sets that combine emotional depth with technical precision. Appearances at established festivals such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno helped solidify his standing within the international underground scene, where his sound is recognised for its balance of subtle tension and fluid progression.

Alongside long-time collaborator PatriZe, Hypnotised has developed After Hours into a respected platform for Progressive and Melodic House. The show is syndicated globally on TM Radio in the United States, XBeat across Europe, Cosmos Radio in Germany and Scientific Sound Asia in Vietnam, cultivating a loyal worldwide audience.

Beyond After Hours, Hypnotised, and PatriZe also host AH Digital Essentials on Proton Radio, and Hypnotised Presents Energetic on Progressive Beats Radio, further extending their presence within the melodic electronic community. As co-founder and label manager of AH Digital, Hypnotised continues to support emerging artists while releasing his own carefully curated productions.

Recent highlights from his catalogue include a remix of The Master of Time and Thoughts by Tabrissel alongside Frank Savio, a release that blends deep melodic textures with driving Progressive House energy. With further material scheduled on AH Digital and other respected imprints, Hypnotised remains a defining voice in contemporary Progressive House, combining experience, musical clarity and a clear commitment to the underground.

This week's guest DJ, Al Park, has established himself as a consistent and forward-moving presence within the Progressive House scene, with 2025 marking an especially productive period in his catalogue. His sound is defined by steady hypnotic pacing, melodic clarity and a strong sense of narrative progression, qualities reflected across a wide range of original productions and high-profile remixes.

A defining moment in his recent output is Stellar Drift, released across multiple compilations and imprints throughout 2025. Appearing on Protagonist Recordings, Protagonist Dark and Nothing But, the track highlights Al Park’s refined approach to Progressive House, built around a rolling 122 BPM framework in D minor, balancing emotional depth with club-focused drive. Its repeated inclusion across labels underlines its impact and longevity within the genre.

Collaboration has played a major role in his evolution. Alongside Atique and UNIV3RSE (sL), Al Park contributed to Shifting Depths on Magic Room, released with multiple remix interpretations from Ewan Rill and VegaZ SL. These versions retain the original’s melodic core while exploring different shades of progressive tension and release. His work with Redspace has been equally significant, spanning releases on Mango Alley, Plattenbank, Univack and Traful, including tracks such as Trends, Dr. Petropaul, Singularity and Lyrical Prose, all reinforcing his ability to merge musical sophistication with functional dancefloor flow.

Beyond Progressive House, he has also explored warmer, organic territory. Releases such as For You with Atique on YHV Records and Sunshine Is Coming on Polyptych reflect a more melodic and emotive side, leaning into Organic House while maintaining the understated progression that defines his broader sound.

With releases spanning respected labels including Protagonist Recordings, Balkan Connection South America, Univack, Mango Alley, Traful, Magic Room and Nothing But, Al Park’s 2025 catalogue positions him as a producer deeply embedded in the modern Progressive House ecosystem. His output reflects focus, consistency and a clear artistic identity, marking him as a name increasingly recognised for both quality and range within the global progressive movement.

The first hour of After Hours 708 unfolds with a calm yet immersive Progressive House atmosphere as Hypnotised eases the listener into the journey. Opening selections like Cloud Garden and Lotus Path establish a wide, melodic space built on gentle pads, rolling basslines, and patient progression. These tracks set a reflective tone, favouring emotional depth over immediacy and allowing the mix to develop naturally without rushing its direction.

As the set progresses, Hypnotised introduces richer harmonic tension through tracks such as Control and Dumb Reminders. These selections deepen the narrative with subtle rhythmic shifts and evolving melodic motifs, while Echoes From Below and Graph bring a slightly darker edge. The music remains fluid and controlled, maintaining a steady pulse that keeps the energy flowing without breaking the hypnotic mood.

The closing stretch of the first hour leans further into melodic release and late-night introspection. Tracks like Aphrodite and Lost In Soul balance warmth with emotional restraint, before November Rain provides a graceful conclusion. This final run captures the essence of Progressive House storytelling, where atmosphere, pacing, and mood are prioritised over peak moments, leaving a lasting sense of calm resolution.

Al Park takes over for the second hour with a smooth transition into Organic and Progressive House. Winterfell introduces earthy rhythms and organic percussion, grounding the mix before shifting into deeper melodic territory. As the set unfolds, tracks such as Goddess, The Rage, and Forever You gradually build momentum, combining flowing basslines with spacious melodic layers that feel both uplifting and introspective.

The latter half of Al Park’s set continues to evolve with Illuminated Paths and Avalon, reinforcing the progressive narrative through subtle changes in energy and tone. Desperadio briefly introduces a deep house feel, adding contrast before the journey returns to expansive melodic territory. The episode closes with Weightless Moments, a fitting finale that encapsulates the show’s overall mood, bringing After Hours 708 to a close with a sense of depth, balance, and late-night atmosphere.
