Episode 704 of After Hours presents a deep and immersive progressive house journey with resident DJ Hypnotised. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, a Vietnam-based electronic music station, promoter and agency, the series continues to unite underground artists across Asia and beyond through radio programming and live events.

Hailing from Ghent, Belgium, Hypnotised has built his reputation on melodic, story-driven sets that balance emotional depth with technical precision. Performances at major festivals such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno have firmly established him within the international underground scene.

Alongside long-time collaborator PatriZe, Hypnotised has shaped After Hours into a respected platform for progressive and melodic house. The series is syndicated worldwide on TM Radio in the USA, XBeat in Europe, Cosmos Radio in Germany and Scientific Sound Asia in Vietnam, creating meaningful connections with listeners across continents.

Beyond After Hours, the duo also presents AH Digital Essentials on Proton Radio and Hypnotised Presents Energetic on Progressive Beats Radio, further expanding their influence within the global melodic community. As co-founder and label manager of AH Digital, Hypnotised continues to champion new talent while releasing his own productions.

Recent highlights from his catalogue include a remix of Tabrissel’s The Master of Time and Thoughts with Frank Savio, a track that blends deep melodic layers with driving progressive energy. With more releases scheduled across AH Digital and other respected imprints, Hypnotised remains a leading figure in the international progressive house movement.

Guest DJ Plafnik.

Plafnik is this week’s guest on After Hours. Born in Buenos Aires, a global centre for progressive house, he grew up inspired by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, John Digweed and Eelke Kleijn. Over the past decade, he has developed a deep, melodic and atmospheric style that reflects both his Argentine roots and the wider international progressive scene.

He has recently released a series of notable productions in 2025 that have helped elevate his profile. Hard Pluck, released on AH Digital Compilations, showcases his attention to harmonic detail with a warm, emotive flow. On South America Avenue, he delivered two further progressive cuts, Dark Carnation and Fractal Growth. Dark Carnation carries a deeper and moodier tone, while Fractal Growth offers a brighter melodic character.

Together, these tracks highlight his ability to explore contrasting emotional tracks within his signature sound. With releases on respected labels including Balkan Connection, BC2, AH Digital and South America Avenue, Plafnik is steadily gaining recognition across the global progressive house community. His music blends subtle intensity, evolving harmonies and precise production, making him a natural fit for the deeper and more atmospheric direction of After Hours.

The first hour opens with Hypnotised easing the mix into a warm late-evening mood through Night Shift, followed by the gentle lift of That's the Way in the Jero Nougues remix. Momentum builds with the smooth progression of Sirli and the steady drive of Harmonic Pulse, each track flowing naturally into the next. Terminator adds a slight edge without breaking the melodic direction, keeping the first act balanced and measured.

The set continues through Sticky Situations in Mike Hiratzka’s remix, bringing a firmer structure while remaining firmly in Progressive House territory. Before the Dawn maintains that depth, moving into the confident, rolling feel of Gimmick. Monolaya adds a slightly brighter lift before Growler closes the first hour with a grounded, late-night tone, neatly completing Hypnotised’s chapter.

Plafnik begins the second hour with the Organic House warmth of Atatakai, setting a calm but engaging reset. The session returns to Progressive House through Asir in the Weird Sounding Dude remix and the steady rise of Storm. Tube & Berger’s Cure rework introduces a more modern push, keeping the flow melodic while adding low-end weight. Maze 28 and Grooveberries continue that momentum, maintaining a smooth and cohesive middle stretch.

The final movement widens the palette with the Indie Dance and Dark Disco shades of Sweet Nothing. The mix returns to Progressive House for a closing run: Batholith, Cosmic Dot, and Fall of the Moon bring a reflective finish, wrapping the two hours with a sense of clarity and balance. After Hours 704 delivers a clean, well-paced journey that stays true to the show’s trademark melodic atmosphere.
