Episode 696 of After Hours delivers a deep and immersive progressive house journey, with resident DJ Hypnotised joined by guest IAELL. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the show continues the station’s mission to showcase underground electronic music across Asia and to a growing global audience.

Hailing from Ghent, Belgium, Hypnotised has built his reputation on melodic, story-driven sets that blend emotional depth with technical precision. Performances at major festivals such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno have established him firmly within the international underground scene.

Alongside long-time collaborator PatriZe, Hypnotised has shaped After Hours into a respected platform for progressive and melodic house. The series is syndicated worldwide on TM Radio in the USA, XBeat in Europe, Cosmos Radio in Germany, and Scientific Sound Asia in Vietnam, building bridges with listeners across continents.

Beyond After Hours, the duo also presents AH Digital Essentials on Proton Radio and Hypnotised Presents Energetic on Progressive Beats Radio, further expanding their reach within the global melodic scene. As co-founder and label manager of AH Digital, Hypnotised continues to champion new talent while releasing his own work.

The label’s debut single People from the Otherworld gained attention with a Rui Da Silva remix, while his Man on the Moon alias, known for tracks such as Infinity and Sense, continues to attract acclaim. With forthcoming releases on SLC-6 Music, Tantalum Records, and AH Digital, Hypnotised remains one of progressive house’s most consistent and trusted voices.

IAELL has made a notable name for himself in Brazil’s electronic music scene as a producer, DJ, and entrepreneur. He’s known for combining musical vision with grassroots support, balancing creative ambition with community development.

Hailing from the state of Santa Catarina, IAELL’s journey has taken him beyond Brazil to cities like Toronto and New York, where he’s explored different scenes and absorbed global influences. His work is often framed between progressive and melodic house and techno, enriched by touches of ethnic and regional musical textures drawn from research into cultural rhythms.

Beyond his work as a solo artist, IAELL heads several key projects in Brazil’s electronic infrastructure. He leads House Mag Academy, a DJ school focused on training new talent. He also runs the Distinkt party label, curating events and lineups, and manages House Machine, a record label through which he releases his own music and supports emerging artists.

His performance credits include major festivals and clubs across Brazil and internationally: Universo Paralello, Surreal Park, House Mag Festival, Garden Festival, Park Art, Green Valley, Terraza Music Park, Cielo NY, and Pacha NY. In these spaces, his sets often move fluidly through melodic progressions, driving grooves, and moments of deep introspection.

On the production side, IAELL’s work has been released on respected underground labels such as Recovery Collective, Polyptych, UP Club Records, and Balkan Connection. One recent collaboration is Conexão Brasil x Austrália, released with Jydn on Recovery Collective, a project that highlights his evolving sound and cross-regional reach. Through all his endeavours, IAELL remains committed to fostering community, connecting rising voices, challenging himself musically, and helping shape Brazil’s electronic music scene.

Hypnotised opens the first hour with Esh’s Back To Paradise and Hans Gerd’s Shaula, both layered in melodic warmth and deep rhythmic drive. The atmosphere deepens as Pedro Sanmartin’s Tossa receives an expansive Endless Rework from Freedo Mosho & Futura City, followed by the cinematic touches of Sound Fusion’s Last Sunset.

Fran Garay’s Hadu, remixed by Nacres, adds hypnotic tension, while Agustin Pietrocola’s Voices Of Sea, in the hands of Juan Deminicis, radiates emotion through lush progressive sound design. The flow continues with ISMAIL.M & Redspace’s Yoma in a textured remix by Kenan Savrun & Sinan Arsan, bridging into Blvd Boundaries by Marchesan, reworked by Emi CA. Lucho Bragagnolo’s Cat Laser maintains the forward momentum with crisp percussive grooves, and Rockka’s remix of Sprout by RNDØM closes Hypnotised’s mix in a cinematic burst of progressive house euphoria.

IAELL begins the second hour with the atmospheric pulse of David Podhel’s Cygnus A, reimagined by Ewan Rill. His own collaboration with Sam Sick, Infusions, expands on that energy with vibrant basslines, while K Loveski’s Dope Groove and Mayro’s The Search keep the drive melodic yet intricate. Rick Pier O’Neil & Elan Myles deliver Jellyfish, a club-ready highlight, while IAELL’s Periscope adds personal depth with an emotive melodic lead.

The momentum builds further as Gai Barone’s Fractals receives a sweeping remix by HAFT, followed by Andrés Moris’ The Story We Tell, beautifully interpreted by Jiminy Hop. IAELL brings his own flavour with Just Wanna Dance With You, leading seamlessly into Gutenn & Sam Sick’s Beirut and Phillosopher’s Maester. The night concludes with Fulltone & Parallelle’s How Can I Resist, remixed by Patrice Bäumel, before IAELL ends the episode on a euphoric note with Horizon, a perfect finale to an immersive journey through progressive and a touch of melodic house.
