Parisian duo Kidding Kurrys and ATX return with another edition of their radio show Hotch Potch. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, the programme forms part of the station’s international schedule dedicated to underground electronic music. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian based online radio station, DJ agency and promoter, supporting DJs, producers and independent electronic music culture across the region and internationally.

Both artists are based in Paris and are members of the collective Slow Is The New Fast, a group known for exploring slower tempos, downtempo rhythms and de-pitched grooves. The collective often focuses on music that sits outside the faster mainstream club formats, highlighting deeper and more atmospheric sounds while maintaining a strong connection to dancefloor culture.

Despite this philosophy, Kidding Kurrys and ATX are not restricted by genre or tempo. Their selections frequently move between darker slow-motion rhythms and more energetic club styles when the moment calls for it. The result is a dynamic approach to DJing that blends different influences while maintaining a distinctive underground character.

Each month, the duo presents a two-hour residency where they explore a wide spectrum of electronic music from their personal record collections. Their selections include both older discoveries and newer releases, reflecting years of digging for unusual and interesting tracks. The format allows them the freedom to move across styles without strict rules, creating a relaxed and spontaneous listening experience.

This edition of Hotch Potch features a mixture of electro, indie dance and new beat, highlighting the darker and more rhythmic corners of electronic music. The show moves between vintage tracks and contemporary productions, creating a set that reflects both the heritage and ongoing evolution of these genres.

Recorded in an informal setting, the spirit of the show reflects the personalities of the two Parisian selectors. It captures the atmosphere of a friendly musical gathering, where the focus remains on sharing records, exchanging ideas and enjoying the experience of music discovery together.

Through their monthly broadcasts on Scientific Sound Asia, Kidding Kurrys and ATX continue to bring a distinctive European underground perspective to the station’s programming, presenting carefully selected music that moves beyond conventional genre boundaries while maintaining a strong sense of groove and character.

Listen Live on Saturday 15th April 2022 from 12 AM to 2 AM Indochina Time (ICT) and repeating Tuesday from 12 PM to 2 PM (ICT).
