Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns with a new edition hosted by Nocturne on Scientific Sound Asia. The platform operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, while also publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Originally from Los Angeles, Nocturne began his DJ career in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz. During this period, he explored a wide range of Latin and urban styles including reggaeton, hip hop, bachata, merengue, salsa and cumbia, developing a reputation for versatility and strong crowd awareness across the Southern California club circuit.

In 2013, he transitioned into electronic music, marking a shift in direction that would shape his current sound. Around this time, he co-founded Digital Audio Kingz with DJ MORE and became involved in FM radio, expanding his reach beyond the dancefloor.

By 2018, he adopted the Nocturne alias and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a House Music radio programme that has since grown into a syndicated series through the CHNR Syndication Network. The show reflects a consistent focus on groove-led selections and the evolving direction of contemporary house music.

Now based in San Diego while maintaining close ties to Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to develop his sound through projects such as On the Deep End, which leans toward progressive and melodic styles, alongside Deep House Sessions under the DAK Music banner. His approach remains grounded in rhythm, emotion and connection, aligning with the core principles of house music culture.

For this edition, Nocturne is joined by guest DJ Mery Blue. The Madrid-based artist brings a refined house-driven style shaped by disco-funk roots and 90s house influences. Her sets focus on rich piano melodies, grooving basslines and expressive vocal elements, delivering a balance of energy and elegance while adding a distinctive and complementary dimension to the broadcast.

Guest DJ Mery Blue.

Mery Blue is a Madrid-born DJ and publicist whose musical identity has been shaped by early exposure to 80s disco-funk and the energy of the 90s house scene. Her style centres on refined selection, combining piano-led melodies, grooving basslines and expressive vocal elements drawn from classic house traditions.

Her sets are known for their balance of energy and control, delivering a sound that remains rooted in timeless electronic music rather than trends. Since 2021, she has developed a multifaceted career as both a DJ and broadcaster, launching projects such as MY DISCO ROOM Stream Show and TIME TO SOUL Radio Show.

These platforms have helped establish her presence within the wider house music community, including appearances alongside artists such as Purple Disco Machine and Joey Negro on international radio line-ups. Alongside her broadcasting work, she has contributed to the growth of the local scene through Petao Sessions, a promoter collective she co-directs.

The project focuses on developing house music events while supporting emerging artists and strengthening community connections. Her career has continued to expand internationally, with performances in Morocco and Croatia, alongside appearances at venues across Madrid including Café Berlín, Goya Social Club, Marula Club and Sala Villanos.

She has also worked with brands such as Madrid Design Festival and Antony Morato, further extending her reach beyond club environments. In 2025, she made her Ibiza debut at Marina Playa in San Antonio, following recognition as Best Emerging National Artist 2024 at the Ibiza Music Forum Awards.

As her profile continues to grow, Mery Blue remains closely connected to the Madrid house scene, delivering sets defined by musical depth, consistency and a strong connection with the audience.

The first hour with Nocturne opens with a strong Dance and Pop crossover as Claptone’s Black & Gold and MK with Illyus Barrientos’ Never Let You Go set a commercial yet club-ready tone. David Guetta and Timbaland continue this direction, while Calvin Harris brings a classic energy through Release The Pressure.

A transition into House Music follows with ATFC’s Bad Habit and Doozie’s House Of Rebirth, grounding the mix in deeper club territory. Costa UK and Kristofson introduce a Funky House groove, while Luque and Kenzo and Tenacious maintain a steady rhythm.

The set moves into Tech House as Harrison Crump and Tom Nolan alongside Sarah De Warren and Roddy Lima bring a tighter, more driving structure. Volkoder and Cloonee continue this direction with All Night Long and XTC, before Esse reinforces the groove. The Shapeshifters close the first hour with a classic House feel.

The second hour with DJ Mery Blue shifts into a more soulful and classic House direction as DJ Fudge’s Animus and Alok with Kenny Dope’s Deep Down set the tone. Dutchican Soul and H.P. Vince introduce Disco and groove-led elements, while Urban Blues Project deliver a classic vocal moment with Your Heaven.

The middle section blends House and Nu Disco as Sudad G adds an Electronica touch, while DJ Chus and Soulista alongside Karmina Dai maintain a steady rhythm. Soul Divide and Steve Madera with Jacob Rodriguez deepen the atmosphere with soulful influences.

The closing stretch is led by N.W.N’s Blues and Mousse T.’s Horny, bringing a mix of Deep and classic House energy. Mistura with Dave Lee and Jaques Le Noir round off the set with a smooth and groove-led finish. Across both hours, the episode moves from Dance and club edits into a more soulful and classic House journey, maintaining a consistent and accessible flow throughout.

Tune in to the show’s live broadcast on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, between 4 PM and 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you are unable to catch it live, a replay will be accessible on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
