Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns this Saturday on Scientific Sound Asia, hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz. This week’s edition opens with a set from Nocturne himself before passing the decks to San Diego–based DJ IIMPRESA, who delivers a guest mix full of fresh grooves and vibrant house energy.
Nocturne, originally from Los Angeles, began his career in 2007 performing as DJ Turiz. His early sets moved fluidly between Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, and Latin styles such as Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, and Cumbia, earning him a strong reputation across Southern California’s club circuit. His versatility and energy soon made him a recognised presence in the region’s nightlife.
In 2013, he turned his focus toward electronic music, co-founding Digital Audio Kingz with DJ MORE and gaining airtime on FM radio. By 2018, he rebranded as Nocturne and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a house and dance mix show that has since grown into a globally syndicated platform through the CHNR Syndication Network.
Now based in San Diego while maintaining close ties to Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to evolve his sound through projects like On the Deep End, which explores Deep, Progressive, and Melodic House and Techno, alongside his Deep House Sessions. Released under DAK Music, his productions reflect his mission to share the energy and culture of house music with audiences worldwide.
With Nocturne’s established vision and IIMPRESA’s underground edge, this week’s show promises a dynamic journey through the many layers of house music, celebrating both its foundations and its forward momentum.

This week’s guest on Cali’s HouseNation Radio is IIMPRESA, also known under the alias VXNDL, is a California-based DJ and producer whose work spans the emotive spectrum of melodic house and the uncompromising force of raw underground techno. Based in San Diego, he describes his approach as one that provides a melodic nature in his music, while VXNDL unravels his harder side for clubs and late-night crowds around the world.
As IIMPRESA, his productions are characterised by atmospheric textures, warm chord progressions, and subtle groove elements. He crafts music with a cinematic quality, layering dreamy pads and melodic breakdowns with restrained yet powerful rhythms. This gives his sets a distinctive emotional depth, offering audiences an intimate journey that builds patiently toward moments of release. Under VXNDL, however, his sound shifts toward sharper percussion, heavier kicks, and industrial-influenced textures, embracing a raw, high-impact approach designed for darker rooms and underground spaces.
He has shared original tracks and mixes, including XTC 2024, Give It Your All, Got U Burnin, and Funk Dat Bizzy, as well as longer DJ sets such as Spring Mix 2025. These releases highlight the versatility of his style, blending melodic sensibilities with club-ready energy. His SoundCloud presence captures both identities, with IIMPRESA presenting a more reflective, melodic side while VXNDL showcases a bold, hard-edged persona.
Though not yet widely featured in mainstream outlets, he continues to develop a growing presence online and within niche electronic communities. His dual identity reflects more than just a branding choice; it represents the breadth of his artistic vision. IIMPRESA provides an outlet for melodic storytelling and emotional resonance, while VXNDL gives him space to deliver intensity and raw energy. Together, they illustrate his versatility as an artist committed to exploring the full range of electronic music’s possibilities.
Episode 292 of Cali’s HouseNation Radio opens with DJ Nocturne delivering a Club House edge through Ralphez – Here To Stay and a mix of vocal-driven Dance cuts like Gene Farris – Euphoria and DumitrEscu – Sitting In The Sun. Tech House fire arrives with Sonique & Matt Sassari – It Feels So Good and Justin Bieber – Daisies (Luxpop Remix), while Nocturne keeps the groove flowing with House highlights such as Qubiko – Luv Me Again and Malikk – Falling In Love.
As the first hour unfolds, a balance of soulful and percussive House selections shines with Emiliano90 – The Feeling and Manuel De La Mare – Me Gustas Tu.
